Laundry Economics .

Andre Willers
6 Nov 2014
Synopsis :
Taking in each other's washing as an economy . It works near the Singularity !
Discussion :
1.Comparative Advantage .
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparative_advantage  See Appendix A for wiki example .
The data of the following list comes from The Conference Board[1] and Eurostat.[2] GDP is measured in purchasing power parity, normalised to 2013 US dollar (comparable to a 2013 international dollar). It is calculated from 2005 EKS PPPestimates from Penn World Tables (PWT 7), updated with GDP deflator changes. Work is measured as hours actually worked during the year in employee and self-employment jobs.
This is the value of the currency (ie work produced by the good citizens per hour) before QE got too bad .
We take just two :

USA   67.32
Japan 43.77
If USA diluted it’s currency by 43.77/67.32 = 0.65 then it would have parity in Comparitive Advantage .
This means no incentive to trade .
The currency in circulation in 2013 (M2 most relevant) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money_supply
USA 2.8 Tr . Printing (QE) an extra (2.8/0.65 – 2.8) = 1.5 Tr dilutes the $US to parity with YJapan .
This was the original intention of Quantitive Easing .
Trade in some comparative advantage for economic growth .
This gives roughly 17 months of QE at 85Bn a month . This what actually happened .

2.Japanese Response :
They were not too charmed . Essentially , it meant there was no reason for the US or any Dollar country to trade with them .
They retaliated with two measures :
2.1 Diluting the yen slightly faster than the dollar (I would have simply done it one dump . Shock and awe .)
So-called Abenomics . To buy time .

2.2 Development of clathrate energy sources .
Something they seem to have done ,
The largest treasure of all has just been unlocked and is bubbling to the surface .
See
What actually happened and is happening as we speak :
Japan has done another Pearl Harbour .
This time against the major oil producers .

See

This is what you are seeing in the

We're just seeing the leakage .
The Japanese Yen is going to laugh last .

This news is already breaking .

3.What about the rest of the world ?
This is simple to describe : they’re waiting for the tumble dryer in anticipation of youth
Now simply use "money" as the good and we have the present situation . Capital sloshes around , following the cheapest printing presses .

Tried and tested .
"... Scilly Islands. The natives of that
group, before Mr. Smith's time, are popularly said to have eked out a precarious livelihood by taking in each other's washing. "

4. What does all this mean ?
Well , it means that if the rate of wealth creation per time unit is faster than the demand growth , then taking in each other’s laundry makes perfect sense .
A civilization-ending crash probability has suddenly receded to the zero regions .
But profound changes are on hand , which might seem as bad as a crash .
(“What ! An AI wants to marry my daughter in a multiply progressive fractal marriage ! And which one is my daughter ?” )
A cry of “ Oh my daughter ! Oh my ducats !”  Both seems to be transforming into something rich and strange .

5.Market correction .
Clathrates are going to force a major civilization correction .
Species bifurcations as well .

Like the Philistines , it is upon Samson . And things are going to get hairy .
“When things get hairy , get a wigmaker . “  Delilah .
You heard her .

6. This is not what I expected .

7. In a universe where Mrs Simpson deserts King Edward VIII and elopes with toyboy Alfred E Neumann , truth becomes a quantum foam

Things are not as bad as they seem .
They solve each other in incestuous stews in neighbouring universes .

8.The birthplace of modern economics .
Note the ergonomic design of the doors to facilitate the large fat behinds of politicians coming in for a quick rinse .

And so it goes .

Ricardo's example[edit]
In a famous example, Ricardo considers a world economy consisting of two countries, Portugaland England, which produce two goods of identical quality. In Portugal, the a priori more efficient country, it is possible to produce wine and cloth with less labor than it would take to produce the same quantities in England. However, the relative costs of producing those two goods differ between the countries.
Hours of work necessary to produce one unit
Country
Cloth
Wine
England
100
120
Portugal
90
80
In order to produce an additional unit of cloth, England must commit 100 labor hours, which could have instead produced \frac 56units of wine. Although Portugal can produce a unit of cloth with fewer hours of work (90 hours) than England, it must forego producing a greater amount of wine (\frac 9 8 units) to do so. Accordingly, England is said to possess a comparative advantage in cloth even though Portugal possesses an absolute advantage in cloth. A similar argument would show that Portugal has both an absolute and comparative advantage in wine.
In the absence of trade, England requires 220 hours of work to both produce and consume one unit each of cloth and wine while Portugal requires 170 hours of work to produce and consume the same quantities. If each country specializes in the good for which it has a comparative advantage, then the global production of both goods increases, for England can spend 220 labor hours to produce 2.2 units of cloth while Portugal can spend 170 hours to produce 2.125 units of wine. Moreover, if both countries specialize in the above manner and England trades a unit of its cloth for \frac 5 6 to \frac 9 8 units of Portugal's wine, then both countries can consume at least a unit each of cloth and wine, with 0 to 0.2 units of cloth and 0 to 0.125 units of wine remaining in each respective country to be consumed or exported. Consequently, both England and Portugal can consume more wine and cloth under free trade than in autarky.

BaryCenter Update I

Andre Willers
6 Nov 2014
Synopsis :
BaryCenters are essential in understanding the identity of anything . You , and the particles that compose you . A way of looking at fractals .

Discussion :
1.Pulling together some threads .
See the Appendices below . After SupSup Appendix  there is a separate numbering system , but don’t pay too much attention to it .
2. I have not included the structure of the AI(x) minds (like humans ) . It is self-evident , and can be found elsewhere in the Blog “Andre’s Why”
3. I have not included genetic structures or barycenters of virtual genome constructs . Too much .
4. The dear reader must fill in themselves the latest work on MOND . They’re still dancing on the heads of pins there .
5. No attempt has been made to correlate crumpled space-time with quantum effects or rogue swan effects
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com/2014/09/rogue-swan-tech.html. Although one can intuit that crumpled space-time will translate as strange probabilistic effects .

Just swim through it and have fun !
Adding a finite number of tangential universes actually makes many problems in  barycenters solve themselves .
It also makes a workable momentum tap theoretically possible .

Barycenters , Stellar- and Proton Stability

Andre Willers
7 May 2011

Synopsis :
A Barycenter inside an object's defined delineation radius destabilizes it .

Discussion :
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_of_massfor definitions of barycenters .

Suns :
Our sun has a barycenter just outside it's surface  , mainly due to Jupiter .

What does this mean ?
It means that Sol is not prone to massive eruptions that will sterilize the planets .
The same will be true for other Solar systems .

A barycenter inside the Sun will impart massive momentum surges to the normal stellar processes , resulting in large EMP and particulate fluxes due to fusion in extra-solar environments (loops) . This would sterilize any life processes on planets .

Earth-Moon has a barycenter inside the earth . This means very large tides  as well as active tectonics .Basically , the generation of life . Just enough destabilization .

Protons :
Proton size has to be smaller than the barycenter distance from the proton's center .
If it is greater , it will decay .
If it doesn't , it's boundary is forever teasing the edges of instability . The half-life of protons can be calculated from this .
Substituting muons for electrons (see "NewScientist" 26 Mar 2011 p50 "Nuclear bad boys" ) led to a factor of about 4% reduction in the size of the proton .As expected . They did not mention decay products from proton breakdown .

This is actually a planar explosive

(energy release along general proton spin axes) .
About 4% conversion of mass into energy .
It also means that a chain reaction is possible .
A really large bomb .

But , also , a space drive .
Spindizzy . Dirac equations apply .

What will Humans choose ?

Barycenters II :Spindizzy Matter-conversion Pulse-rocket .
Andre Willers
12 May 2011

Synopsis:
Energy release from decrease in proton size is channeled partly into chain reaction , and partly into intensification of magnetic field . Once this grows over 10^16 Tesla , charged particles start forming out of the vacuum (starting with rho-mesons) . These short-lived particles are usually more massive than electrons . So we have a short , intense positive-feedback pulse where energy comes from proton and neutron decay , as well as vacuum energy as created particles are separated by the really intense magnetic forces .

Discussion :
References :
1. http://andreswhy.blogspot.com"Barycenters" 12 May 2011 Above
2. "NewScientist" 9 Apr 2011 "Magnets pluck current from void"

The Plan :
1.Wrap a number of small packets of hydrogen(protons) in fine copper wire .
2.Pack them in-line in a tube with a heavy duty conductor wrapped around them for the proton-axis alignment .
3.In between them , put a doped layer of matter that decays into muons .
4.Pulse one end of the tube heavily with muons , while pulsing a heavy current through the big outer winding to align the protons .
Mass will be expelled at the other end (your jet)
5.Repeat . (Pulse)
6.Stand back far away . (Do not try this at home)

Negative EMP:
A theoretical possibility .
All EMP pulses are flattened ("sucked up") into the formation of vacuum-particles .
Think matter rectifiers and matter transistors .

This will lead to ultra-collapsed matter . (Not neutronium , black hole or any squashed matter . Pure matter without any charge in stable configurations.)
Even a catalysis under certain conditions .
The radiation signature might be much smaller than supposed .
Properly balanced , it will be zero .

But when is the universe ever properly balanced ?
It is much more likely that Negative-EMP dominates .Which means a leaching effect on EM waves . It would seem as if wavelengths are growing longer as time goes on .
Sounds familiar ? (Hubble effect , universe expansion)

A neat twist on the Hoyle-Chandrasekhar Steady-State Universe . Instead of matter being continuously created , EM is being continously destroyed and transformed .

Conservation Principles :
This set of Universes are characterized by Delineation : Delineation , by definition , creates a Paired Principle: any delineated change is associated with another delineated change . Also known as Laws of Conservation of Energy , Mass , Information ,etc .

Trans-luminal effects :
What happens to the information encoded in EM which is zeroized by Negative EMP?
The new home (a small particle-pair) has insufficient capacity to store much (order of 256 bits) , whereas the EM has potentially very large information content .
So , the information pops up somewhere else in this universe . And it is not limited by EM speed , by definition .

Hyperdrive :
So , we only need to keep the information packets together . Which is an engineering problem .
Enclosing the spaceship in a shell of magnetic fields exceeding 10^16 Tesla will isolate it from the local space-time , enabling it to pop up at some other space-time coordinate . Sounds simple , but remember conservation of information  .
The KISS principle applies with a vengeance .
Hyperdrive pilots will have to have a simplicity . Everybody will get lost in multiplicity .

Quantum Laundering :
The problem is isolating the observer from quantum observer effects before and after the experiment .
Remember , it is time-independent , but complexity dependant .

We know the complexity of this set of universes is of the order of
1/dx * 1/dmv <= 2pi/h     ….from Heisenberg uncertainty principle
                      <= 9.482514 * 10^33
This is the measure of Complexity of the Beth(0) Universe we find ourselves in .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com"Slingshots" 17 Apr 2011 above

Our problem is to find a sufficiently complex procedure that is simple to execute in a repetitive fashion . Luckily this has already been done .

This is the Laundering Procedure :
It usually follows entropy , but this can be reversed (time travel)

An ordinary bridge card game (52 cards) where every card comes into play ,  has a maximum complexity of the order of 10^14 .
But add a joker or two , and the complexity rises to the order of 10^41 , bigger than the complexity of the underlying substrate Beth(0) universe .
Tarot cards are even higher .

Delicious !
If the experimenters played any poker with  jokers , before or after the quantum experiment , it would affect the result .
Especially after the experiment .

Cold fusion  is a case in point .

CERN should do this . But they only pay lip-service to the idea that the observer is an integral part of the process , never mind that the effect of the observer can be isolated by complexity protocols .

Hyperdrive Captains will have to be players of jokers or tarot .if they want to arrive at their advertised destinations .

Las Vegas Starport , anyone ?

Appendix III

Barycenters III : Spindizzy Theory

Andre Willers
14 May 2011

Synopsis :
Asymmetric orbitals around barycenters leads to lags between magnetic momentum and angular momentum of mass . This generates fluctuations in G . The effect gets very pronounced if the barycenter is inside the definition horizon  one of the particles involved .
Macro-asymmetric effects can be engineered (ie a space-drive)

Discussion :
The relevant equation is the Locke derivation of the Dirac-Brackett equation :
G = (2*c/b) ^2 * (P/U)^2
Where
G=Gravitational Interaction between particles
C is lightspeed , b~0.25 , P is magnetic moment , U is Angular Momentum .

The Trick :
1.P and U are divorced (lagged) in Barycenter descriptions .
The centers do not coincide .
2.G then varies . This averages out unless some rectifying element is applied .
Usually , this is simply dipping the barycenter below the definition horizon of a particle .
3.But you can apply precise EM lasers at beat frequencies to increase the lag .
This will biase G in the direction of the lasers .
In other words , a reactionless mass space drive .

Testing :
This can be tested on university desk-top systems .

Tribute to James Blish .
We don't need a Bridge on Jupiter .
But he was the Bridge .

May we see Cities in Flight .

Barycenter IV

Andre Willers
21 May 2011

Synopsis:
Measurements of Big G (Newton's Gravitational Constant) have been warped by the hidden assumption that small g (Earth's gravitational attraction at the surface) remains constant . But it fluctuates depending on the barycenter .

Discussion :
Measurement techniques :
Torsion Balance or Free-hanging pendulums .
See NewScientist 23 Apr 2011 p45
Both require the hidden assumption  that the rate of change of g in two horizontal  dimensions is zero .

But it is not .
The experimental apparatus is orbiting around the barycenter , changing the g vectors
And they did not compensate for this . After two centuries .

GRRR !
We expected better .

The order of G error (10^-4 ) fits the barycenter discrepancy .

Humans will have to do better than this if they expect to survive .

You get a big fat D minus   .

Appendix V
Dark Matter Update .
Andre Willers
28 Jun 2012
Synopsis :
Dark matter and energy are fictitious , but crumpled branes seem to be real . This adds significantly to complexity . This reallity might not be a simulated locale .
Discussion :
Briefly , slingshot-effects are sufficient to explain supposed gravitational anomalies . They simply exchange energy between rotating masses and linear kinetic energy . The momentum transfer is called the slingshot effect . It also means that a significant percentage of the energy in the system is “in transit” , as it were . We are talking interstellar distances . It is a dynamical system . The observed effect is either an overmass or an undermass , depending on the dynamics of the in-transit momentum transferring masses .

The Crumpling of space-time from brane collisions actually increases the complexity of possible paths . Luckily , we can compute this from general theory (See Appendix I) . This is because of one of the few Hyperdimensional Theorems we know to be true : We can always find a set of dimensions , so that the distance R from the center of random Beth(0) movements is R=d*Square root of(n)  , where d is a step and n is the number of steps .

This seems contradictory . But remember , these are deterministic systems . They only become random because of random constraints . Thus , constraints increase randomness by the same order that the constraints are random  .  If the space-time crumpling is beyond our understanding , it is ,by definition , random  . Then we can use the Crumpled Paper Algorithm .  See Appendix I .
See Appendix III for some Randomness  .

Are we in a simulation ?
In Appendix I we derive mu=2.1773242 * 10^ (-4) , meaning ratio of volume-of-mass to volume in a Planck Universe that is crumpled .

This is another way of saying that the possible number of crumplings (N) is
N=2^ (1/mu)       (from Binomial distribution .)
The degrees of randomness  in the crumpling .
Also a measure of the degree of complexity .
N = 2^4592.7933 . A large number .

In Appendix II we derive a measure of complexity  from observed Planck quantities  and found it wanting in the complexity stakes .

1/dx * 1/dmv <= 2pi/h     ….from Heisenberg uncertainty principle
                      <= 9.482514 * 10^33

But , the complexity of the crumpling completely overshadows the planck complexity .
Thus  , if we are in a simulation , N will have to be drastically lower . In other words few and major folds in the space-time crumpling . These should be detectable . One thinks of black-holes . In an artificial locale , the number of black-holes per cubic parsec should give an indication . A nice little problem for the Dear Reader .
More likely , the number of singularities simply balance the values of the Planck values . Not cause , but in a dynamic balance .
What use is this argument , one might ask .
Well , you can make a super-battery . Spin a particle in a capacitor field . Very high energy densities can be achieved . Store energy in spin .

Appendix I
Crumpling Paper and Space-Time
Andre Willers
23 Feb 2012

“The moving finger writes , and having writ , crumples it in random ruins.”
With apologies to Omar Khayyam .

Synopsis:
Crumpled paper gives a good approximation of spacetime as a membrane with clumpy masses .
“Empty” spaces not occupied by the membrane gives an impression of dark matter .
We derive an expression to give this ratio using Infinite Descent and Beth(0) Random Walk .

Discussion :
1.The Crumpled paper :
Consider a paper disk of radius r and thickness d .
It's volume is then Vp=pi * r^2 * d
Draw a line from the center to the edge , in steps of length d , over the edge , then back to the center Let nu=r/d , a measure of the thickness of the paper . Note that it is a pure number .

The number of steps in the line is then n0=(2r/d)+1
But the number of steps to the edge of the original paper disk is n1=r/d=(n0-1)/2
r=d*(n0-1)/2
n0=2*nu+1

Vp=(pi*d^3*(n0-1)^2 )/4

Crumple it up in a way that is as random as flipping a coin (ie Beth(0) )

The Trick : The line we have drawn up above breaks up into random vectors by rotating through a third dimension = crumpling into a ball .

We thus have a continuous line of random steps of known number of steps .
In 3 dimensions , the mean square distance from the center then is known
R = d * (n0)^0.5   …. See true for all dimensions as long as all are of Beth(0) order of randomness.

Volume of crumpled ball Vb=4/3*pi*R^3
The Ratio Vb/Vp = mu then gives the ratio of crumpled ball space to volume of paper mass .

Mu={4/3*pi*d^3 *n0^(3/2)} / (pi*d^3*(n0-1)^2 )/4
Notice the d^3 term and pi cancels out . This has profound physical implications .
This simplifies to

Mu=4*4/3*(n0^3/2/(n0-1)^2)
Expressed as thickness of paper , nu , which is a pure number independent of metric chosen .
mu=4*4/3(2*nu+1)^3/2 / (2*nu)^2
mu=4/3*(2nu+1)^3/2  / nu^2
This gives a quartic equation in nu , which can be solved exactly algebraically .
(mu)^2*(nu)*4 – 2^7/3^2 *(nu)^3 – 2^6/3^2(nu)^2 – 2^5/3^2 * (nu)^1 - 2^4/3^2  =0

Test it on A4 paper:
A4 paper has thickness d~0,1 mm and r~150 mm
nu=150/0,1
nu=1500
mu=4/3*(3001^3/2)/(1500^2)
mu=0.097421589
mu= 1- 0.90257841
This means that the crumpled A4 paper ball encloses about 90% empty space .
This agrees with experimental results . See NewScientist.

Note that the force applied does not matter . As long as the paper is untorn , mu will be the same .

How many times can it be folded ?
Solving the above (see below) gives mu=1 for about nu=14.7 to 14.8 .
This means there are no empty spaces left to fold into .

This can get complicated , so I will keep it simple .
Take a piece of paper and fold it . You then have a new piece of paper .The test-circle of same r will have double the thickness .
Ie , nu will double .
Between 7 and 8 folds , nu will hit the ceiling of mu=1 , regardless of the starting value of nu .
This is the maximum number of paper folds , as confirmed from other sources .

Physical interpretations :
Take an m-dimensional space . Randomness of order Beth(0) applies equally to all . The underlying equalizer . Collapse it to three dimensions and let the third one approach single Planck lengths .
Then we can use the above paper approximation . Notice how d cancels out except for an addition of 1 in final ratio .

What does it mean ?
See the physical universe as a brane (ie sheet of paper) in a multiverse . Crumpling it means it has mass and singularities . Both are aspects of the same thing .
An estimate of the number of singularities can be made from edges and points in crumpled paper .

Can we crumple the paper to a ball that is just paper ?
That is a particle .
The answer is “Yes” .

Such crumpling means that mu=1 (no empty space in any dimension )
This gives an quartic equation in nu that solves to four values , other dimensions than three denoted by i=(-1)^0.5

nu1=  14.722181   (this makes the physical particle universe possible . Mass .
Nu2= - 0.004167 + i*0.49558  (Rotation :Spin :charge and magnetism)
nu3 =   - 0.004167 - i*0.49558  (Rotation :Spin :charge and magnetism) notice the minus sign .
Nu4= - 0.49164542 (quantum effects as the particles dither. Inertia?)

What does a negative nu mean ?
nu=r/d . A negative nu means one of r or d must be negative .
1.If r is negative , it can be interpreted as curled up dimensions , inside the “outside” dimensions as defined by i . See http:andreswhy.blogspot.com“ The inside of zero” Aug 2009
2.If d is negative , it can be interpreted as quantum effects . A particle does not “occupy” all the space . Likes hopscotch .
3.But notice the the two are interrelated .The notorious observer effect . Where we place the minus sign between r or d .

There should be relationships between nu2 , nu3 and nu4 . Various rotations between macro- and micro dimensions .
This means the contraption is not symmetrical  But we already know that ,

Physical constants :
Things like charge , mass , etc should be derivable from these basics . Hint:use lots of crumpled paper .

There is hope . The fact that it is quartic equation , which is always solvable , means that the Universe can be understood . Complicated and perverse , but as long as you stick to Beth(0) randomness , it can be understood . For higher orders of randomness , good luck .

Dark Matter :
I nearly forgot . Using Planck units , we can define the ratio of thickness of the brane as
nu=c*PlanckTime/(1*Planck Time)
nu=c = 3*10^8
This gives a
Mu=4/3*(2c+1)^3/2  / c^2
Simplifying (c is very large) . This gives the approximation
mu=4/3* 2^1.5 / c^0.5
mu=2.1773242 * 10^ (-4)
mu = 1-0.999783357
This means that 99.9783357 % of the universe can be interpreted as being “Dark Matter”.
Ie with attractive and repulsive qualities . Basically empty space .
May you have joy of that .

An interesting aside :Creative artists .
How many pieces of paper does an artist need to crumple up and throw away before he finds something acceptable ?
Something acceptable would translate to mu=1 . Thus , we can say 7-8 truly random  foldings should give a result .
The same holds for cryptanalysis or any attempt to find an unknown .
Algorithm :
Try 8 times , crumple , then put it aside and try again later .
There is a quantum connection , strange as it might seem .

And what about a nice little Crumpling App for smartphones ?
But the randomness should be from truly random tables , not pseudo-random generators .

Randomly yours.

Appendix II
Slingshots , Dark Matter and Dark Energy.
Andre Willers
17 Apr 2011

Synopsis :
Dark matter and Dark energy are misinterpretations of slingshot effects where the probe-mass is not infinitesimal .
In other words , they are observational artifacts .

Discussion .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com"The Problem with Fields" Dec 2008
Reproduced in Appendix A for ease of reference .

Field Theory assumes that Probe Masses can be infinitesimal . Yet , if we combine finite probe masses with SlingShot theory , a better fit to explain astrophysical anomalies is obtained  . Also meson interactions .

Why Slingshot ?
1. Because we do not have a theory of three interacting masses . But we can do it for two masses . But everything rotates and orbits . So , we can describe all moving delineated masses as interactions of two masses slingshotting .
2. It is a valid mechanism for converting angular momentum into linear momentum .
See Penrose Process (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penrose_process  )
And vice-versa .

The alert reader will notice reactionless drives and high-energy storage devices lurking in these seeming innocuous statements .

An Example :
A simple slingshot , though the principles hold for more complex cases .

V2={(1-m/M)v1+2U1} / {1+m/M}

We choose not to let m be small relative to M .
But we are also too lazy , ignorant and old to count every particle in a universe .

So we cheat and say : let x = m/M , then integrate v2 for 0 <= x  =<1 span="" style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  1>.
This means that the probe mass m takes on finite values from zero to our major mass M . This then includes subatomic and atomic and any other particles .

This gives values
Integral (v2) dx (from x= 0 to 1)  = 2*ln(2)*(v1+u1)   ………(1)
Integral {(v2)^2} dx (from x= 0 to 1)  = 2*(v1+u1)^2 – 4*ln(2)*v1*u1  + 1   ……(2)

Equation (1) tells you how to make an inertialess drive .
The Spindizzy strikes again !

Equation (2) is an Energy equation and is responsible for all those horrible contortions of Mond (especially the last term of +1) .

It also tells you how to make stable , high , density energy storage devices .

Remember , magnetism is spin . If there is spin , there are Slingshots .

Galaxies seeming to orbit too close and fast/slow are simply exchanging slingshot masses (cf mesons)

Bits and pieces of the universe keep on flying around , creating space-time as they go.
It depends on their entanglements . The present universe looks more like an amoeba , with tentacles shooting out . The extent of space and time depends on where you look.

Vacuoles ?
Mini-universes created by tendrils of slingshot masses enclosing . Interesting spin effects as different tendrils have different velocities .
These should be able to be created in the laboratory .

Complexity :
Invert the Heisenberg Principle to define the Complexity of a Beth(0) Universe .
dx*dmv >= h/2pi     ….Heisenberg uncertainty principle

Let 1/dx be all the possible values of x (ie the complexity of space)
Let 1/dmv be all the possible values of momentum . (ie complexity of time)

1/dx * 1/dmv <= 2pi/h     ….from Heisenberg uncertainty principle
                      <= 9.482514 * 10^33
This is the measure of Complexity of the Beth(0) Universe we find ourselves in .

This almost certainly means that we are in a simulation .
The Complexity of Beth(0) is too small .

But is it sufficient for open-ended complexity of Beth(>0) ?

I can intuit that there is a threshold .

Bah .

I can also intuit that we are probably on a chaotic boundary threshold .
Go one way , and you recycle (Karma concept)
Go another way , advance .

And it was designed this way .

Storming Heaven .
Shooting tendrils of space-time into the multiverse will decrease the Heisenberg constant , thereby increasing the complexity past the threshold of recycling .
The Poor Civilization's Singularity .

The mass of the soul .
This can now be calculated from first principles from the complexity of momentum .
It is about 4! gm = 24 gm  relative to the surrounding universe simulation .
And may you have joy of that .

May God have Mercy .

The Problem with Fields .
Andre Willers
21 Dec 2008

A sad tale of Hidden Assumptions and Fictitious Forces .

Our story begins with Isaac Newton about 400 years ago . He proved that radially symmetric bodies (like balls) can be treated as a point-mass from a gravitational viewpoint as long as f=G*m(1)*m(2)/ (R^2)  holds . This is his famous Law of Gravitation .

Fast forward to the Twentieth Century . Space probes were measured to have accelerations not predicted by expected theory . (See New Scientist 20 Sept 2008 p38 "Fly-by  Fright." )

Fright indeed . Physical laws were under threat .
It was first noticed with the Pioneer probes and stimulated the MOND (Google it) modification to Newton's Law .
But the effect was small and controversial .

But then even a bigger shock came . Probes doing slingshots around the Earth (like Gallileo in 1992 , Near Shoemaker in 1998 ) showed such large divergences from expected velocities after the slingshot that the matter could not be swept under the carpet anymore . (The favourite human response.)

Is our understanding of physics wrong ?

No .

What is going on ?

They treated planets as point sources in their programs .
(Remember , these are the guys that mixed up newtons and poundals on the Mars probe) .

The Earth-Moon illustration .
The system orbits around a common center of gravity which lies inside the Earth  .
Even school atlases' state this .

You can treat the Earth as a gravity point-source , but then you must include the Moon as well (and other bodies , but their effect is very small) .

The velocity change during the slingshot maneuver is dependant on the Earth's rotation around the common center of gravity . The Earth-Moon rotational plane coincides roughly with the Earths equator . Hence the observational datum that the velocity change is proportional the difference in the angles incoming and outgoing with reference to the equatorial plane .

What is happening ?
Are conservation laws being violated ?
No .

Internal Slingshot .

It is simply a slingshot maneuver around a virtual mass .

The Earth-Moon rotating system is not radially symmetric . It is lumpy  . The velocity change is dependant on a large number of factors , but can be calculated .

The energy comes from the weak coupling between angular momentum and linear momentum .
From a really basic viewpoint , this can be easiest seen as the difference between a straight line touching a circle and the continuation of the circle . (Newton's laws measure forces by disturbances from a straight line .)

Another way of looking at it :
The gravitational attractions on an outside probe of masses rotating around each other and about a common center of gravity do not cancel out . A small vector-residue is left .
This is a dynamical effect . Movements only need apply .

This can be calculated ,
But will vary in every instance .
(A software-computer (General Theory) is not possible .) This is because there are three bodies involved :
Earth , Moon and Probe .

The Three-body Problem has no general solution . This is well known in mathematics  Now are you happy ?

Calculating this gravitational difference gives rise to a disturbing effect : the mathematical terms for the field probe does not vanish .
In hindsight , a necessary effect because of the general insolubility of the Three-Body problem . But not obvious beforehand .

This is simply restating there is no general solution of the  Three-body Problem .
Two bodies plus a probe makes a three-body problem . Every case will be different . Use Chaos theory .

This will be true for any body in the solar System (ie Pioneer probes) , as well as any rotating set of bodies in this Universe .

The Field Assumption .
Beloved of theoretical physicists , mainly because they are too lazy to do it properly .

The Classical definition is a probe mass , charge or whatever examined near the identifiable object . The forces the probe experience are defined as the Field . The Probe is then ignored .

This has the hidden assumption that the effect of the probe can be cancelled out .
(Ie that it is really a Two-body Problem).

In most radially symmetric objects like balls or charges this can be done .
But , alas , it breaks down if the objects are lumpy . Then the pesky mathematical terms denoting the probe just won't go away .

Without the hidden assumptions about symmetry , error margins have to be specified .
We cannot use our software computer (ie theory) to cancel out the interference of our test-probe .

This is analogous to Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle , but not similar .

You have to understand levels of Randomness
Error-margins at Beth(x+1) level  for Beth(x) levels can be made arbitrarily small (although maybe not zero) .

General Relativity  and Tensors .
This effect can be clearly seen if you use Ricci's Tensors to denote gravitational fields. This is the really general granddaddy of fields .
Tensor theory very clearly requires that tensors are only defined in continuous and differentiable spaces . (Rather amusing , since this takes place before any metric is assigned . Sub-Space !)  Hence the problems with quantum gravity . A quantal system is by definition  discontinuous . Trying to describe it by continuous methods is futile .

Or Bio-fields . Things are just too idiosyncratic for meaningful abstractions using fields .

Fictitious Forces .
The major culprit is centripetal force (also known as centrifugal force ) . This is a fictitional force to balance the theory's bookkeeping .

From the above you can see that a large composite body like a galaxy composed of many objects rotating around each other and all around a center will have a nett attraction either larger or smaller than by gravity alone .

If larger , objects that we observe to fall around it in orbit will have a higher speed than required by the fictitious centripetal force of purely gravitational attraction .
Dark matter , anyone ?

If smaller , things fly apart .
Negative Dark matter , anyone ?

If you look at the maths , being exactly the same will smack of design (The probability of this is very small for Beth(0) randomness ) .
Stellar engineering on Beth(2) or Beth(3) scale .

Does this sound familiar ?

Dark Matter .
Phlogiston , ahoy! Your buddy Dark Matter is coming .
You can then dance the Ptolemaic Gavotte .

Can Fields be salvaged ?
Maybe .
But then horrible contortions are necessary .
Dimensions writhe in semi-being . As a last resort , a marriage counselor might have to be called in .

But why bother ? There are better ways .

If you have to , assign error margins to every field-point and interact the error-margins . This will automatically result in spiky discontinuities . Gauss would have loved them , but unless you are as expert as he was, try the simpler route .

Once again , why bother ? Use Beth(x) systems .

And if you are feeling adventurous , try numbers that only exist at different Beth(x>1) levels .

Guaranteed to lose weight .

Andre .

Orders of Randomness 2
Andre Willers
15 Aug 2008

See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com : “Orders of Randomness”

I have been requested to expand a little on orders of Randomness and what it means .
Please note that human endeavours at this date use only randomness of the order of flipping a coin ( Beth(0) )

Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew Alphabet . It was used by Cantor to denote
Classes of Infinity (ie Aleph(0) for Rational numbers , Aleph(1) for Irrational Numbers , etc

Beth is the second letter of the Hebrew Alfabet . It means “House”

I will first repeat the derivation of Orders of Randomness from http://andreswhy.blogspot.com : “Orders of Randomness” because it is so important .

----------------xxxxxx
Start Quote:
First , simple Randomness .
Flip of a coin .
Heads or Tails . 0 or 1
Flip an unbiased coin an infinite number of times ,write it down below each other and do it again .
All possible 0 and 1’s

An example : Beth(0)
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Flips(1) 0,1,1,1,1,… etc
Flips(2) 0,1,1,1,0,… etc
.
Flips(infinity) 0,0,0,0,0,0,…etc
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This describes all possible states in a delineated binary universe .
“delineated binary” means a two sided coin which cannot land on it’s side .

Now draw a diagonal line from the top left of Flips(1) to Flips(infinity) .
At every intersection of this diagonal line with a horizontal line , change the value .
The Diagonal Line of (0,1)’s is then not in the collection of all possible random
Horizontal coin-Flips(x) .

This means the Diagonal Line is of a stronger order of randomness .
This is also the standard proof of an Irrational Number .

This is the standard proof of aleph numbers .
Irrational numbers ,etc
Since any number can be written in binary (0,1) , we can infer that the order of randomness is the same as aleph numbers .

This means we can use number theory in Randomness systems .
Very important .

Google Cantor (or Kantor)

Define coin-flip Randomness as Beth(0)   , analogous to Aleph(0)
Then we have at least Beth(1) , randomness an order stronger than flipping a coin .
Then we can theorize Beth(Omega) <->Aleph(Omega) .->

End Quote
----------------xxxxxx

Cardinal Numbers .

The cardinal number is the index  x of Aleph(x) .
Cantor proved that
Aleph(n+1) = 2  ^ Aleph( n )

Where n is the cardinal number of the infinity .

Tying them together :
He also proved that
P(A) = 2^ n
Where A is any set , P(A) is the  PowerSet of A and  n is the cardinal number of set A
Thus , Cardinal Number of P(A) =(n+1)

The PowerSet of A = the Set of all subsets  of A .
This sounds fancy , but it is simply all the different ways you can combine the elements of set A . All the ways you can chop up A .
You can see it easily in a finite binomial expansion (1+1)^n = P(A) = 2^n

See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com : “Infinite Probes”
There we also chop and dice , using infinite series .

Can you see how it all ties together ?

Why 2 ?

This derives from the Delineation Axiom . Remember , we can only talk about something if it is distinct and identifiable from something else . This gives a minimum of 2 states : part or non-part .

That is why the Zeta-function below is described on a 2-dimensional plane , or pesky problems like Primes always boil down to 2 dimensions of some sort .

This is why the irrational numbers play such an important part in physics .
Z=a+ib describes a 2-dimensional plane useful for delineated systems without feedback systems

Its in the axiom of Delineation , dummy .

But we know that Russell proved that A+~A
The difference can be described as the Beth sequences . Since they are derivatives of summation-sequences(see below) , they define  arrows usually seen as the time-arrows .

These need not to be described a-la-dunne’s serial time , as different Beth levels address the problem adequately without multiplying hypotheses .

Self-referencing systems and Beth sequences .

A Proper Self-referencing system is of one cardinal Beth number higher than the system it derives from .
Self-referencing systems (feedback systems) can always be described as sequences of Beth systems . Ie as  Beth(x) <-> Beth(y) . The formal proof is a bit long for inclusion here .->

The easiest way to see it is in Bayesian systems . If Beth(x) systems are included , Bayesian systems become orders of magnitude more effective .

Life , civilization and markets are such . See below .

Conservation Laws :
By definition , these can always be written in a form of
SomeExpression = 0

Random (Beth(0)  Walk in Euclidean 2-dimensions

This is a powerful unifying principle derived from the Delineation Axiom .

In Random Walk the Distance from the Center is = d * (n)^0.5 . This is a property of Euclidean systems .
(Where d = step , n=number of random beth(0) steps)

Immediately we can say that the only hope  of the Walker returning to the center after an infinity of Beth(0) steps is if d ~ 1/(n)^0.5 . This is the Riemann Hypothesis .

Now , see a Universum of 2-dimensional descriptors  z=a+ib

Sum all of them . Add together all the possible things that can be thus described .

This can be done as follows :
From z=a+ib Raise both sides to the e
e^(z) = e^(a) . e^i(b)
Raise both sides to the ln(j)  power where j is real integers.
j^(z) = j^(a) . e^(b/ln(j))

Now , sum them :
Zeta=Sum of j^(z) for j=1 to infinity

Now we extract all possible statements that embody some Conservation Law . Beth(1)

This means that Zeta is zero for the set of extracted statements if and only if (b/ln(j)) is of the order of Beth(0)  and a=(-1/2)

Tensors .
The above is a definition of a tensor for a discontinous function .

Riemann’s Zeta function.
This can describe any delineated system .
If Zeta = 0 , conservation laws apply .

Zeta = Sigma(1/j )^z for j=1,2,3,…,infinity and z=a+ib , where z is complex and i =(-1)^0.5
The z bit is in two dimensions as discussed above .

This function has a deep underlying meaning for infinite systems .
If you unpack the Right-Hand side on a x-yi plane you get a graph that looks like a random walk .

If every point is visited that a random walk would visit over infinity (ie all) , without clumping , then Zeta can only be non-trivially zero if a=(-1/2) .

Why (x – yi) plane ? See “Why 2 “ above . The system is fractal . Two dimensions are necessary in any delineated system .

Remember , randomwalk distance from origin = step*sqrt(number of steps) .
So if the steps = 1/ ( sqrt(number of steps) ) , then the Origin might be reached if and only if a= -1/2
This is easily proven .

If a= - 1/2 , then b can be any real function . This would include Beth(0)  and Beth(1) , but not higher orders of beth .

If a= -1/2 and b is an unreal number , then a cannot be equal to  -1/2 anymore . Conservation cannot hold at any level .

Consequences:
Conservation Laws can only hold for Beth(0) and Beth(1) systems .

This is forced by the two dimensions of delineation .

Mathematically , this means that Beth(2+) systems of feedbacks can only be described in terms of attractors or/and fractal systems (ie not in isolation)

Physically , conservation of energy and momentum need not hold for Beth(2+) systems .

This has an interesting corollary in decryption (unpacking) . A Beth(2) mind unpacking Beth(0) or Beth(1) encryption is functionally equivalent to Non-Conservation of Energy .

Some other consequences :
If a< -½  , then Riemannian Orbitals are described . Beth(any)
Also described as nuclei , atoms .

If a> -½  , then a diffuse cloud is described . Beth(any)
Also described as magnetic effects .

What does this mean?
Present technology uses Beth(x) technology in a rather haphazard way .(Quantum physics) .

A better understanding will bring about a  sudden change in capability .

Slingshot Atmospheric Rivers

Slingshot Atmospheric Rivers .

Andre Willers
9 Nov 2014
Synopsis :
Atmospheric Rivers can slingshot around very low depression systems , picking up energy from the jetstreams and dumping extremely large masses of water and snow into lower latitudes .

Discussion :
0.A broader discussion of slingshots and barycenters can be found at https://www.academia.edu/9162437/BaryCenter_Update_I

1.Important Concepts for storms :
1.1Extratropical storm system conversion
A tropical hurricane or typhoon moves into colder latitudes and loses energy .
But , it connects to low-level atmospheric rivers and high-level jetstreams and picks up energy from both .

1.2 Bombogenesis
The hot core of the typhoon converts to a cold core very rapidly , as very cold air from the jetstreams spiral in . If an atmospheric river is nearby (as it usually is) , enormous amounts of latent energy is released . This creates  a sudden vortex of very low pressure , creating very high winds .

2.The Slingshot :
The low-pressure vortex acts like a gravitational mass in orbital mechanics .
A characteristic of atmospheric rivers is that they are delineated . So some atmospheric rivers feed the vortex , while others a bit further away slingshot around it .
This dumps billions of tons of water , snow and slush  into the lower latitudes .
The North American Continent has suffered numerous episodes .
Enormous floods , followed by ice-ages , then floods again as the ice-dams collapse .

See

3.Slingshots :
This is a very well-understood phenomenon  .
How to steer an atmospheric river is discussed in

So , we can steer atmospheric rivers to slingshot around storms like 2014Nuri and rain a lot further south .
The physics is easy . The politics ?

4. Is there any chance of an atmospheric slingshot with the present (Nuri Nov2014) system ?
From the old Mark One eyeball , I count at least 6 atmospheric rivers inside the system .
Look at the dark breaks . The only thing strong enough to maintain some semblance of identity is an atmospheric river .
So , using our old 1/3 principle , we can expect about 2 ArkStorms from this episode .

This is thumbsuck , but my closest estimate is one in Western California  and another on a more west-to-east direction over the great lakes . (Where did they originally get their water from ? . Also those flood gorges towards the Atlantic might be a recurrent thing)

5.Climate warming .
Another of Gaia’s little surprises .
Slingshot distribution of atmospheric rivers slows global warming , by distributing tropical heat in a positive feedback fashion .
The hotter it gets , the more atmospheric rivers and tropical storms converts to bombogenesis . This means more atmospheric rivers cool down , then slingshot back towards the equator .
A sort of planetary air-conditioning .
This can be steered by humans .

However , it also means extreme rains .

6. Southern Hemisphere .
This is different from the northern hemisphere .
There is much more water .
So , a rough sketch would be atmospheric rivers slingshotting around Antarctic bombogenesis events , then moving northwards over open ocean faster than rotation .
It means that the river picks up speed in spin direction .
The ArkStorms will then be inclined to hit the western coasts of the southern continents .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com/2010/10/makgadikgadi-sea.html, where the western rainfall was significantly higher .

But I might be wrong and this picture is what is waiting .
Not exactly what Noah had in mind .

7.Testable .
This is in direct contradiction of present climate warming models , where dessication occurs from west to east .
So , it can easily be tested . Feed atmospheric river slingshots into the models , and see what happens .
The geological evidence shows flooding , but it does that anywhere . If you wait long enough , it will flood .

8. Pre-emptive slingshots :
Air condition the whole planet .

And so it slings along .

Meteorological ‘bomb’ is about to go off in the Bering Strait

[snips]
less than 50%
Fans of The Deadliest Catch know that the Bering Strait isn’t exactly a tranquil region, but what is about to happen may set a new all-time record for the strongest storm the area has seen since at least the 1950s.
In other words: Fishermen need to get the heck out of there. Now.
SEE ALSO: How Typhoon Nuri is changing the weather forecast in North America
Computer models have been signaling for days that the remnants of what is now Typhoon Nuri — once the second-most intense tropical cyclone on record this season — will undergo a transition into an extratropical storm system as it moves northeast, away from Japan, over the next few days.
As it does so, the storm will likely encounter an unusually intense North Pacific jet stream that is in a favorable position to give it a major injection of intensity — like a storm that drinks a six-pack of Red Bull.
Other factors will also aid in intensifying the remnants of Nuri.

….The sudden deepening of an extratropical low pressure system is referred to as “bombogenesis,” and this storm looks like it will meet the criteria for that, and then some.
…in part by rendering alternate airports in Alaska useless, as they are buffeted by hurricane force winds of nearly 80 miles per hour or greater. Seas are forecast to build to at least 50 feet in the southwest Aleutians, and potentially higher in the Bering Strait.

Be your Own Owner .

Andre Willers
11 Nov 2014
Synopsis:
Can you own yourself in a world of juggernaut Corporations , Megastates and people smarter than yourself rigging the whole system ?   The answer is Yes .

Discussion :
1.Existence Proof :
It has been done . Repeatedly throughout history .
Etc , etc , etc .

2.The pattern is then that the liberators become the new Elite , and things repeat after a number of generations .

See the Matriarchs either as eccentric history , or a cautionary , extended metaphor . A sort of 1984 of the past .
What happens when Elites rule .

3. Why ?
It is part of the “Tragedy of the Commons” paradigm . See Appendix B for some memes .
This has two components :
3.1 The Commons of Humans are fragmented into about 150 persons units . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunbar's_number
3.2 There was no recipe (algorithm) to use expansion of Dunbar’s limit .
The new Elites know only one way , a repeat of the old way .
Things pretty soon collapse back into the Keepers and the Kept , Slavers and Slaves ,  Owners and Owned , Rich and Poor .
All for their own good , of course .

4. The “Tragedy of the Commons” Boundaries has been  broken :
4.1 Social Media , especially Facebook . Dunbar’s limit has been decisively broken . You can (and some have) millions of persons in as close contact as the old 150 .
4.2 Ostrum Principles is a set of rules to utilize this to make the process self-sustaining . No new Elite  .
See Appendix A

5. So what now ?
In the old days , it took about 300 years for a Quiet Revolution to ferment (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constantine_the_Great)
Two things have speeded it up :
5.1 The speed of trusted communication . Equivalent of word-by-mouth from a friend . Social media . Gossip .
Luckily we already know this . It has speeded up 52 times . See https://www.academia.edu/8844507/How_important_are_you_
So 300 years becomes 5-6 years .

Facebook was founded 2004 , and sure enough Arab spring civil wars in the Arab world that began on 18 December 2010 .http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Spring
This will continue into the singularity , but expect pulses because of inertial effects from large capital masses .

This also disqualifies the so-called elite , because if they were Elite , they would have realised what it means and suppressed it .
They are no more qualified than you .

5.2 Depth into the Singularity . Like fish in water , humans do not notice how fast the vortex is already moving .
We are talking about human capability changing . Getting smarter , processing more information quicker , learning to jump over the barriers of the rat maze .

You know , outsmarting the experimenter .

Humans are in the process of flipping to the next liminal value  (IQ163)  .

The Flynn effect (lagging) is about 0.3 IQ points per year .  63/.3 ~ 210 years ~10 generations as a first linear approximation .
The measured effect is close to linear at the start , but goes up exponentially towards the end .
Exponential systems usually packs about 90% of change in the last 10 % of the driving variable .
Which means , that the date of a IQ flip to IQ163 for the whole planetary normal population is 2026 AD   , with severe changes in the last years .
Not quite singularity , but outliers amongst humans should have bumped another notch .
(The k=0.06 in y=e^kt)

It would be like putting a Formula One engine into a Model T Ford .
Great power , dicey steering . Sounds human , all right .

Interesting times , indeed .
We are already seeing it .

All those dumbing down techniques will boomerang .
A lot of angry young humans , looking for culprits .

The Elite better head for the hills . Very high hills . Off-planet in fact .

Another interesting example of people becoming their own owners is

Congratulations :
You have just become the part-owner of a rather run-down planet .
A fixer-upper .

Ideal for a young , smart couple .
Previous owners emigrating .

Good luck
Andre

Market saturation in a demand driven economy with Maslow Hierarchies .

Andre Willers
31 Oct 2014
Synopsis :
“Enough!”  Limiting feedback loops kick in . In humans , and their creations , economic systems .

Discussion:
1.Humans have satisfied most Maslow Hierarchies .
2.The cost has affected the lower hierarchies .
3. Feedback systems are kicking in .
4. Demand is lessening .
5.The economic system optimized on demand . This is now changing to sustainabililty .
6. The essence of the present Economic crisis : Humans just don’t want to consume more .
A real effect . And instead of catering to it , the Elite think they can change it .
Like canute . The more fool , them . They merely go ahead , not lead or force .

7.And no amount of stimulus is going to change that , because it is below conscious motivation .
8. They want to stuff the Golden Goose ,  but it does not want to eat anymore .

9. This will end badly .
Sheeple being treated like stuffed geese .For their livers .
Sheeple are actually were-sheeple .
They change and bite your head off .

10 . Well , I warned them .

Now , sic ‘em !
Being savaged by a dead sheep is nothing at all like to being mauled to death and beyond by a were-sheeple .

They bred special hounds to sniff and run away from were-sheeple .
Vampires fly a mile to get away from a were-sheeple woollen cloak .
Black holes get constipation id a super were-sheeple is even in the neighbourhood .
You get the drift .

As I said ,
Charon is on Uber .
When sheeple are pursuing , the other side of dead seems attractive .

Optimal Lightning .

Andre Willers
14 Nov 2014
Synopsis :
Lightning is the balancing element to keep the ionosphere at about 200 000 Volt difference with Earth . This is vital for UV protection . Global warming then increases habitability of Earth. But also decreases buffer effect to insolation . This means many more localized lightning strikes .

Discussion :

1.Ozone repletion :
This requires the 200 000 volts  .(Appendix B)  This is maintained by
Insolation(+)  , lightning storms (upper)(+) , chemicals(-) .

2.The hole in the ozone .
This has been replenished , mostly due to increased global warming . See Appendix A .
Humans had very little to do with the whole affair .

3. The action is mainly driven by lightning See Appendix E

4.This is driven by thunderstorms . See Appendices A, B ,C

5.What happens if global warming drives up the number of lightning storms and insolation remains the same ?
Much more food for everybody .

This would be a more normal thing for Gaia . The planet is much cooler now than normal .
The system is quite sensitive (see Appendix A : 12% more lightning per degree Celsius) is hairtrigger for a planetary system .
The Ozone layer would allow much less UV through .
This would mean a lower death rate among the phytoplankton  , etc . Sea blooms . Increase in fish biomass .
The same on land , especially higher altitudes .

6.Acidification .
UV + Acidification seems to have a synergistic effect . Reducing the UV will mean a chance at recovery for things like corals .
This has already happened and is happening .

7.Human overdramatization .
Humans like to look in the mirror and see the Terminator (a sort of Super-Silverback Gorilla)
The reality is more a boy in a mask and toy gun .

8. Expect a great expansion of whale numbers .
This has already happened . See http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-29069515  Recovery of Blue Whales .

http://andreswhy.blogspot.com/2011/08/why-whales-are-so-large.html. See Appendix F below for the full article .
Whales are expert vertical farmers , and can teach humans a thing or two .

9.The greatly increased number of lightning strikes due to global warming  will correspondingly increase nitrate fertilizers , thus alleviating the need for the great game treks like in Serengeti . Why bother with all these fancy climate meters . Just count the number of migrating Serengeti animals .

10.Electrical interference with communications will decrease on average , but show some very sharp spikes on occasion .

11. Weather forecasting : once again , humans will be scared of the sky . With good reason . All this means local thunderstorms brew up out of nothing .
Call them mini-lightning storms .

12. Megalithic Structures .
They are resonant at The Schumann resonance .(See Appendix C) . Approaching lightning storms will disturb this resonance (same as EM effects of earthquake) .
So , places like StoneHenge , GobekliTepe  , etc are also lightning detectors .

Exactly how severe were these storms ?
Many old shelters look suspiciously like bombshelters . I suppose severe lightning storms , natural or steered , qualify as an electric Blitzkrieg Luftwaffe .

13. Nuclear weapons
The energy levels of the ionosphere are low . See Appendix B .
High-energy pulses into the ionosphere will disrupt it , and probably cause permanent extinction of life above Earth by UV protection removal .
Why do you think they stopped atmospheric nuclear testing ? Even the military could see extinction grinning at them from it’s skullface .

Lightning expected to increase by 50 percent with global warming
Date:
November 13, 2014
Source:
University of California - Berkeley
Summary:
Atmospheric scientists looked at predictions of precipitation and cloud buoyancy in 11 different climate models and concluded that their combined effect will generate 50 percent more electrical discharges to the ground by the end of the century because of global warming. The main cause is water vapor, which fuels explosive deep convection in the atmosphere. The more convection, the greater the charge separation and the more cloud-to-ground strikes.
On average, the models predicted an 11 percent increase in CAPE in the U.S. per degree Celsius rise in global average temperature by the end of the 21st century. Because the models predict little average precipitation increase nationwide over this period, the product of CAPE and precipitation gives about a 12 percent rise in cloud-to-ground lightning strikes per degree in the contiguous U.S., or a roughly 50 percent increase by 2100 if Earth sees the expected 4-degree Celsius increase (7 degrees Fahrenheit) in temperature. This assumes carbon dioxide emissions keep rising consistent with business as usual.
Exactly why CAPE increases as the climate warms is still an area of active research, Romps said,

Earth-Ionosphere cavity[edit]
Main article: Schumann resonance
Potential difference between the ionosphere and the Earth is maintained by thunderstorms' pumping action of lightning discharges. In the Earth-ionosphere cavity, the electric field and conduction current in the lower atmosphere are primarily controlled by ions. Ions have the characteristic parameters such as mobility, lifetime, and generation rate that vary with altitude.
The Schumann resonance is a set of spectrum peaks in the ELF portion of the Earth's electromagnetic field spectrum. Schumann resonance is due to the space between the surface of the Earth and the conductive ionosphere acting as a waveguide. The limited dimensions of the earth cause this waveguide to act as a resonant cavity for electromagnetic waves. The cavity is naturally excited by energy from lightning strikes.
Atmospheric layers[edit]
The electrical conductivity of the atmosphere increases exponentially with altitude. The amplitudes of the electric and magnetic components depend on season, latitude, and height above the sea level. The greater the altitude the more atmospheric electricity abounds. The exosphere is the uppermost layer of the atmosphere and is estimated to be 500 km to 1000 km above the Earth's surface, and its upper boundary at about 10,000 km. The thermosphere (upper atmosphere) is the layer of the Earth's atmosphere directly above the mesosphere and directly below the exosphere. Within this layer, ultraviolet radiation causes ionization. Theories that have been proposed to explain the phenomenon of the polar aurora, but it has been demonstrated by experiments that it is due to positive charge passing from the higher regions of the atmosphere to the earth.[42]
The mesosphere (middle atmosphere) is the layer of the Earth's atmosphere that is directly above the stratosphere and directly below the thermosphere. The mesosphere is located about 50-80/85 km above Earth's surface. The stratosphere (middle atmosphere) is a layer of Earth's atmosphere that is stratified in temperature and is situated between about 10 km and 50 km altitude above the surface at moderate latitudes, while at the poles it starts at about 8 km altitude. The stratosphere sits directly above the troposphere and directly below the mesosphere. The troposphere (lower atmosphere) is the densest layer of the atmosphere.
The planetary boundary layer (PBL), also known as the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL), is the lowest part of the atmosphere and its behavior is directly influenced by its contact with the planetary surface.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/a7/NearField-Earth-eField.png/220px-NearField-Earth-eField.png
Electric density increases 88 DC volts with each metre of altitude above the earth, or, in feet equivalents, 1-19 DC volts per foot of altitude.
There is a potential gradient at ground level ("Atmosphere ground layer") and this vertical field[43] corresponds to the negative charge in and near the Earth's surface. The negative potential gradient falls rapidly as altitude increases from the ground. Most of this potential gradient is in the first few kilometers. The positive potential gradient rises rapidly as altitude increases from the ground. Volta, in the 18th century, discovered that the gradient of electric potential increased as the distance from the earth increases, and, more recently, Engel has provided data to calculate the increase (image to the right).

When you include observations of weather over the whole earth, you get some pretty amazing numbers. Here are a couple-

Number of thunderstorms occurring at any given time: 2000
Number of lightning strikes over the earth per second: 100

(The above numbers from this web site: http://www.lightningstalker.com/weather/lightningstalker/more.html

Expanding the lightning numbers... 100 per second equals 6000 strikes per minute, 6000 per minute equals 360,000 per hour, 360,000 per hour equals 8,640,000 per day.

Sophie,

A number of studies have been done using lightning detection networks located in some countries and using a couple of satellites that have optical detectors designed to recognize lightning flashes. The most recent data suggests that the long used statistic of around 100 flashes per second globally is close to being correct, of which 80% are in-cloud flashes and 20% are cloud-to-ground flashes.

This gives us approximately 20 flashes to the ground per second globally and therefore 1,728,000 flashes to the ground per day. This seems like a huge number, but it is necessary to maintain an electrical balance between the Earth's surface and the atmosphere.

This is not an easy question to answer because the average number of strikes varies with location, season, and many other variables. However, the web site:

shows a global distribution map. This can give you an approximate distribution. Another interesting site is:

Based on the work of statistical analysis software SPSS, through curve estimation, linear correlation, partial correlation and stepwise regression, we make a correlation analysis among ionosphere disturbance, ground electric variation and thunderstorm activity. We also look into the influence from ionosphere and ground electric field on thunderstorm activity instantly, ionosphere disturbance has extremely significant influence on thunderstorm current. The correlation between ground electric field and thunderstorm activity is negative. On the other hand, in multi-factor interplay analyses, thunderstorm activity is largely affected by ionosphere disturbance within 3 hours. Between electric field and thunderstorm current, the partial correlation is negative which increases from significant to extremely-significant in the time span from the 4th hour to the 7th hour.

Why Whales are so large .
Why Whales are so large
Andre Willers
12 Aug 2011

Synopsis :
Vertical migration in the ocean between each breath recycles nutrients into the sunlit layers of the ocean , stimulating phytoplankton-krill-whale positive feedback cycle . The bigger the whale , the more krill , the more whales , etc

Discussion :
See "Givers of Life" by Steve Nicol in NewScientist 9 Jul 2011 p36 .
This is an excellent overview by an actual researcher .

Critical points :
1.Nutrients tend to sink after concentration into plant cells . Small animal faeces like krill sink by 100 – 1000 metres a day . The thermocline acts as a trapdoor , excacerbating the effect in summer or global warmaing .

2.Mammals have to breathe at the surface . This forces a vertical migration with each breath , mixing things up in at least three ways :

2.1 Wake turbulence and Coanda Effect (Google it) . Large volumes of water are transported up and down . It is part of whale's reduction to water-flow resistance . The bigger the whale , the better .

2.2 Nutrient scavenging from the depths and faeces plumes at surface . Size helps .

2.3 Floating reservoirs of nutrients in krill are eaten and excreted as faeces plumes in the sunlit zones , preventing loss of vital nutrients like iron . This stimulates phytoplankton , which stimulates krill , which stimulates whales . The bigger the whales , and the more of them , the better .

Social effect and mini-ecology :
A pod of whales use their sonar calls to coordinate their vertical migrations to create a nutrient rich mini-ecology around the pod . They farm the sea .
Other species benefit . Fishing is good .

Note that the minimum survival size is a pod , and the techniques are learned .
Think of the pod as a farming village in 3-dimensional oceanic terms .

A lonely whale is a hungry whale

The feedback effect here would be as the cube of the number of whales and their size . A very strong effect , leading quickly to large numbers and maximum possible sizes .

This was indeed the case as late as 17th century Whale , fish and wild bird populations were about 100 times larger than at present . Google it .

The Fly-by effect :
Whale pod ecologies moving past a coast would have significant effects on local crustaceans and inshore fishing .
The same is applicable for coral reefs . Blanching is be ameliorated by temperature-layer mixing .
The Australian Great Barrier reef can be saved through whale pods doing a fly-by
Coral atolls the same .

Without them there would be a desert .

Whales seems to have been the key-stone eco species .

The Bad News :
This seems bad , since humans reduced whale numbers so drastically .

The Good News :
1.The feedback effect is very strong (cubed effect) and can be applied per pod .
2.Pod-package : similar to human civilization package .
Symbiotic and commensal species of fish , phytoplankton , krill , dolphins , orcas , can be used to accelerate repopulation , under strict human protection .
3.Commercial Demand :
Whale Pods and their symbiotic humans can negotiate their own terms for ecological beneficiation for coral islands , fisheries , barrier reefs , etc .
In a warming world , the Whale Union will be a powerful force .

Whales and Dinosaurs :
Whales are the largest animals that ever lived .
Sea dinosaurs did not need to breathe air . Hence no vertical migration .
Hence no feedback effect for size .

Hippo's
Hippo's are a branch of whales (from long ago) . They also create a mini-ecology in their pool by stirring things up . Especially in the dry season . The pools are stagnant . The only thing stirring up nutrients are hippo's . The other species depend on them . The eco-system collapses without them .
Which is why humans put up with bad-tempered hippo's in Africa . They were essential to a functioning ecosystem .
(Or , to put it more elegantly , the tribe that killed them perished .)

Which makes me wonder why they were not domesticated .
Maybe an attempt was made around the Makgadigadi Sea , and what we have are the descendants of the untamable ones . Similar to buffalo and kwagga .
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com "Makgadigadi Sea" Aug 2009

The Human-Whale interaction .
There is fairly good evidence that a crucial human bottle-neck experience took place about 190 000 to 200 000 years ago on the Agulhas plains during an ice-age .The only thing enabling them to survive was the annual whale pods flying by , fertilizing the Agulhas Banks .

This survives to this day . The locals are fanatical in protecting the whales . No large scale whaling has ever taken place . They have long forgotten the reasons for it , but like any good religious proscription , it persists .

Whale watching is a major industry today .
Local South Africans and others gather to watch the phallic plumes of whale-breath spume new life into the banks .

Every time the whale pods go by , the poor over-fished abalone , crayfish and other fisheries are invigorated and struggle on .

Having a whale of a time .

Economics of Disrespect .

17 Nov 2014
Synopsis :
Loss of Respect has profound economic implications . Severe loss of income , capital and heads .

Discussion :
1.Respect .
Who do you Respect ?

2.Once respect is lost , laws are no longer obeyed .
Taxes become nearly impossible to collect except at armed-robbery level .
2.1 Modern West : The Governed had withdrawn consent . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_contract(Democracy by vote)
2.2 In China , Mandate of Heaven played the same role . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandate_of_Heaven
“The Mandate of Heaven is an ancient Chinese belief and philosophical idea that god (Tian) granted emperors the right to rulebased on their ability to govern well and fairly. “
2.3 Celts , norse , Vikings , Amerindians : “He has lost his Luck”
2.4 Ancient Egypt , MiddleEast , Right of Kings , etc : Legitimacy is bestowed by the god(s) . After many disasters , the Gods have turned against him (Cf Akhnaton)

3.If the ruler does not perform , he (or his dynasty) gets the old heave-ho .
The mechanisms vary as per the society , but is exceptional that a whole population will follow a ruler into extinction  .

4.The steps :
4.1 Loss of Respect .
4.2 Loss of Fear
4.3 Active Defiance
4.4 Refusal to pay Taxes .
4.4.1 Diversion of Ex-Taxes into Alternative Economy (this is Black Market , smuggling , informal sector , etc)
4.5 Armed resistance to tax collectors .
4.5.1 This is funded by higher returns from efficiencies of informal sector . Near zero overheads .
4.6 Guerilla War
4.7 Full scale rebellion .
4.8 New Dynasty/King/President/Chief .
4.9 The cycle repeats .

5. New Alternative Economy : The Ostrum Principles .
The old formal Sector is simply ignored .

6.Estimate from fundamental principles :
If present societies are somewhere on the scale of 4.4 – 4.7  as above , then one would expect tax evasion to be fairly mature .
If the old society still exists , it must still have access to taxes on the Reserve in the economy . That is 1/3 of Real GDP

Estimated Real Global GDP (2014) : $233 Trillion .

6.2Informal Global GDP est from Reserve Principles( https://www.academia.edu/6257841/Infinite_probes_II)  $155.2 Tr  (2/3)
6.3Total Global Economy 2014                                                                                                              $232.8 Tr  (3/3)

7. Ostrum Societies are Terminators .
The cycle does not repeat once this stage has been reached .
on how a true Terminator works . Terminators prevent a recurrence .

8.Ostrum societies outperforms traditional ones once the Dunbar Limit has been exceeded.
This displaces the old paradigms , as well as prevents any recurrence .

9. Historically :
Any minority group lording it over the majority always enforced Respect .
Examples are everywhere
Sir , Massa , Boss , Baas , Magister , etc , etc . As old and as nauseating as history .
They knew full well that any insolence is the first step to their ruin .

10. Where are we in Nov 2014 ?
Economic dominance is the frailest of masterships .
The coming Deflation is going to be bad for middle and upper classes  that cannot adapt to the loss of large organizations .
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1920s_Berlinfor an actual case history .

The Global Real Economy is in fair shape .
It is the upper levels of the old Economy that are in deep doo-doo .

11.The New Paradigm will gleefully feast on the old one .
“The tigers of wrath are wiser than the horses of instruction.”― William Blake
This exactly describes a post-revolutionary period .

12. What does all this mean ?
Revolution and rebellion . Respect has been lost . The rest follows .

13.If you are SuperRich , get unrich fast . Like Gates and Buffett . Sheer survival for their grandchildren
A multi-billionaire’s cautionary .

And the Bilderbergers , Illuminati , etc ?
Any Washington , Napoleon , Trotsky , Ataturk  etc can and have seen them off .
See

George Washington made short work of the Illuminati
See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com/2012/03/george-washington.html

14. The ordinary person ?
Get any practical skill you can .
The intelligentsia have proven themselves incompetent to run even a simple society .
So the society will go simple .
Plumbing , nursing , beautician ,  any  personal service .
Robots will be making everything . We are looking at a Leisure Consumption society with no idea of how to do it .

Roman Dodecahedra .

Andre Willers
18 Nov 2014
Synopsis :
An ancient safety lamp and heater . Only expensive metal ones partially survived . Known as Roman dodecahedrons .

Discussion :
1.Any shack dweller or army tent brat would instantly recognize them .
Fire is a deadly danger in places like army camps .
So , those who could afford it had lamps and heaters mounted in gimbals inside safety holders .
See Appendix B .

The gimbal tech was known from 200 BCE onwards .

2.Worked metal was impossibly expensive , but hardwood was easy to carve .
So the actual mountings of the gimbal would have been wood . This would have perished or any remains misclassified .
Fancy ones would have stability mountings made of metal . Officer stuff .

2.1 Like this one : the large holes indicated use as a lamp . Smaller holes would indicate heaters .
Note most of the remnants were found in colder latitudes .

2.2 A fancy officer’s heater . Will keep gloved hands nice and toasty at -10 degrees . Note that it is not a dodecahedron . A doting father’s status gift .

3.Fuel supply .
We would use some machine with a tank . A Roman didn’t think like that .
He thought “slave” .  So some shivering slave had to stand by all night to put in oil into the lamp or heater .

4. The knobs weren’t only for stability . They also enabled sharing heat while wearing mittens . The knobs functioned as holders (exactly the same as in your kitchen pots)
At least 3-4 troopies could safely warm their hands on those bitterly cold nights .

5.The stability and gimbal mounting meant that it could be wrapped in a skin or blanket as a bed-warmer .
Especially important for arthritic , elderly commanders on the Rhine . Something the Sagas never address .

6.Why did so few survive ?
Because most of them were made entirely of wood .
Some ceramics  , too . But wood perishes , ceramic gets broken into shards and dispersed once the wood bracements are gone .
And misclassification . There are probably hundreds of remains in the basements of the big Museums .
Only fancy , rich , status items survived in some sort of shape .

7.Why no technological copying by the Goths ?
They had the metalworking and woodworking skills .
The problem was fuel . No olive oil or many slaves to feed the contraption .
Remember , the fuel container inside the gimbal had to be small and energy intensive .
They only had charcoal , so braziers were substituted .

Roman Dodecahedra
Dozens of hollow, bronze dodecahedra survive from Roman times, the second to fourth century. They have been found in Great Britain, Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, switzerland, and Hungary. Ranging from 4 to 11 cm, they are embellished with spheroids at each vertex and circular holes of various diameters in each face.  The articles by Artmann, Emmer, and Malkevitch (listed in the references) describe them further.  The 10 cm example illustrated at right is scanned from the article by Malkevitch.   Often there are concentric circles scored around the openings, as in the 8 cm example below, from the article by Emmer.
he function of these dodecahedra has not been determined.  (So it is not clear that I should list them here under the category art.)  Speculation includes: candle stands, flower stands, staff or scepter decorations, surveying instruments, leveling instrument, finger ring-size gauges, dice, a toy to throw and catch on a stick, and geometric sculpture. No one knows.

Artmann also reports one Roman icosahedron, illustrated at left.  It is also hollow, bronze, and about 8 cm in diameter.  This only deepens the mystery as to the function of these objects.
Interestingly, it was put away in a museum's basement storage, misclassified as a "dodecahedron" for forty years before someone noticed it was not a dodecahedron.  That illustrates nicely how people see things differently depending on their background knowledge.
If you read German, read this nice survey article by Bernhard A. Greiner.

The Gimbal
In a conversation with a friend, he pointed out that the Gimbal would be the best practical/automated embodiment to achieve arbitary Euler angle rotation (theta, phi, Xi) of an object around its center of mass.  I told him quite simply, you are good, but a guy like Archimedes would no doubt have conceived of such a leap of generalization.  Of course we first did quick check first at Wikipedia about the inventor of the Gimbal.
To no surprise to us, the Gimbal was first described by the Greek inventor Philo of Byzantium (280-220BC).  He died only 8 years after Archimedes.
Philo described an 8 sided ink pot with holes, which can be turned so that while any face is on top, a pen can be dipped in ink, yet the ink never runs out through the holes on the other sides.  This was done by the suspension of the ink well in the center, which was mounted on a series of concentric rings which remained stationary no matter where the pot is turned.

20 Nov 2014
Synopsis :
Compare actual ships on the seas with the Baltic Dry Index . Secret trade 4.63 times (463%) of reported trade is deduced . Taxation bases vanish and stimulatory measures seemingly don’t work , but they probably do . The good news just never reaches the Taxman’s ears .

Discussion :
1.This is not a conspiracy .
It is simply like-minded business people coming to the same conclusion . It looks like collusion , but is not .

2.The Data for the actual ships is from a new study by J . Tournadre
See Appendix A .

The Graphs are from early previews . See
J. Tournadre
Article first published online: 17 NOV 2014 | DOI: 10.1002/2014GL061786

3.The Baltic Dry Index chart from Bloomberg .

4.compare the charts .
The parting of the ways seems to be 2008 .
What happened ?
Freezing of all credit , and thus trade , is what happened . This was the fault of the banks . Their greed and stupidity .

5.Reasonable businessmen then independently sought to bypass these unreliable institutions , leaving them to wither on the vine .
This was helped along by the excellent , secure communications .
Remember , Dunbar’s limit has been broken

The “official Economy” , like Baltic Dry Index , simply shrank and shrank .

6.Is there a Dark Baltic Index ?
I doubt it .
It is more like the Dark Pools of capital that bypass the exchanges in private deals .
There are many , not one . And they cannot be unified by their very nature .

7. Big Business has lost any respect for bankers and government regulatory attempts .

Look at the graphs for yourself .

7.1 Actual ships counted .

7.2 Baltic Dry Index .

………………………………………………………..
8.Estimate of real Baltic Dry Index:
Taking 2005  (BDI=2500) as a non-exuberant year , and ratio up by est number ships .
nShips 2005 = 40 000
nShips 2012 = 80 000
Growth since 2012 to 2014 ~10%
nShips 2014 ~ 96 800
This gives est real BDI 2014 = 96800/40000 x 2500
                                                       =6050
Present Nov 2014 quoted BDI = 1306
Ratio = 6050/1306
            =4.63
In other words , about 4/5 of worlds wealth is kept hidden from notice .

9. Estimated GDP from this basis :
GDP est real 2014 = 46.5 x 4.63
                                     = $215 Tr
Compare this to  the estimate of $233  Tr as derived by a completely different method in Appendix B .
Estimated Real Global GDP (2014) : $233 Trillion .
A discrepancy of about 8% . Not bad , taking into account that the data still can be refined .

10 . What does all this mean ?
10.1 The tax base for nation states are crumbling under their feet .
10.2 Stimulatory measures are working , but just not reported . Why kill the goose that lays the golden eggs ?

10.3This is not a conspiracy . Anybody who has the means will act the same way after loss of respect .
Unfortunately , this means a temporary increase in Gini .

10.4 No mega-fortunes can form .
10.5 Ostrum Principles will subsume states .
At least a solution to that pesky 8’th  principle . The State won’t wither away , but will bubble down to local pockets .

Respectfully yours

Appendix A
Worldwide ship traffic up 300 percent since 1992
Global shipping routes crisscross the world’s oceans in this map of shipping lanes derived from a 2008 study of the human impact on marine ecosystems. Maritime traffic along these lanes is also a major source of noise pollution, which is increasingly considered harmful to marine mammals.
The research used satellite data to estimate the number of vessels on the ocean every year between 1992 and 2012. The number of ships traversing the oceans grew by 60 percent between 1992 and 2002. Shipping traffic grew even faster during the second decade of the study, peaking at rate of increase of 10 percent per year in 2011.
Traffic went up in every ocean during the 20 years of the study, except off the coast of Somalia, where increasing piracy has almost completely halted commercial shipping since 2006. In the Indian Ocean, where the world's busiest shipping lanes are located, ship traffic grew by more than 300 percent over the 20-year period, according to the research.
Ships powered by fossil fuels dump oil, fuel and waste into the water and pump exhaust into the air. Shipping is also a major source of noise pollution, which is increasingly considered potentially harmful to marine mammals, said Jean Tournadre, a geophysicist at Ifremer, the French Institute for the Exploitation of the Sea in Plouzane, and the study author.
"I found it quite worrisome that the ship traffic grew so much, even in very remote regions of the world," Tournadre said, "especially when we know that they are the major source of pollution [on the open ocean]."
International trade and the sizes of merchant fleets have both enlarged rapidly over the past two decades, explaining the steep rise in ship traffic, the study reports. The new analysis has been accepted for publication in Geophysical Research Letters, a journal of the American Geophysical Union.
Burgeoning ship traffic has increased the amount of pollution in the atmosphere, particularly above the Sri Lanka-Sumatra-China shipping lane, where the study notes a 50 percent increase in nitrogen dioxide, a common air pollutant, over the 20-year period.
Tournadre said he hopes the new study will increase scientists' understanding of how human activities are affecting marine ecosystems and improve models of atmospheric pollution in the open ocean.
The new dataset will provide scientists with invaluable insights into the patterns of ship traffic and the traffic's effect on the environment, said Batuhan Osmanoglu, a radar systems engineer at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Green Belt, Md., who was not involved in the study.
"The nice thing about this study is that they have a unique dataset, that maybe we're looking at for the first time," he said. "Whenever you have a unique dataset you can quite easily learn something new."
The new study is the first to track ship traffic on a global scale, Tournadre said. Currently, ship traffic is monitored using the Automatic Identification System (AIS). When vessels are near the coast, they use transponders to send out their location information to other ships and base stations on land. However, the AIS system doesn't work very well when ships are out on the open ocean. Vessels are often out of range of terrestrial base stations or other ships, and few satellites carry the AIS instrumentation necessary to locate vessels from space.
The new method outlined in the study uses altimeters, or instruments that measure altitude, aboard satellites to detect the location of ships at sea, similar to the way these instruments have been used to track icebergs.
The altimeter sends a radar pulse down to Earth from the satellite and constructs an image of the surface based on the time it takes the pulse to bounce back to the instrument and the shape of the pulse when it arrives. The method works similar to throwing a ping pong ball at the ground: if you know the velocity of the ball and the time it takes to bounce back to your hand, then you can calculate how far from the ground you are. The shape of the returning pulse can tell you something about the features on the ground. A smooth target like the ocean will bounce back an expected pulse shape, but if something like an iceberg, island, or ship is present, the shape of the echo will change.
In 2007, Tournadre was poring over hordes of satellite data for signs of icebergs in polar seas, when he noticed an odd shape in the data.
"We had some unconventional data in a region, and careful analysis showed us that it was a lighthouse near shipping lanes," he said. "As we processed the data over the whole globe, we also detected ships."
Tournadre found that the altimetry data accurately reproduced known shipping lanes and could be used to estimate the number of vessels on the ocean worldwide. The study used altimetry data from seven different satellites to map ship traffic from 1992 to 2012.
Using satellite data made it possible to calculate ship traffic for the entire globe, whereas AIS records provide relatively limited coverage in both space and time, Tournadre said. The new method also allowed him to look back at two decades of traffic using archived data, and give independent measurements of ship traffic that were not based on the will or capability of ships to transmit their own positions.
However, Tournadre also cautions that some of the growth he has seen in ship traffic could be overestimated because ships, especially container ships, have become larger over the past two decades and possibly easier to detect with altimetry data.

Economics of Disrespect
Economics of Disrespect .

Andre Willers
17 Nov 2014
Synopsis :
Loss of Respect has profound economic implications . Severe loss of income , capital and heads .

Discussion :
1.Respect .
Who do you Respect ?

2.Once respect is lost , laws are no longer obeyed .
Taxes become nearly impossible to collect except at armed-robbery level .
2.1 Modern West : The Governed had withdrawn consent .http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_contract (Democracy by vote)
2.2 In China , Mandate of Heaven played the same role .http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandate_of_Heaven
“The Mandate of Heaven is an ancient Chinese belief and philosophical idea that god (Tian) granted emperors the right to rule based on their ability to govern well and fairly.

6.1Formal global GDP 2014 (http://www.statista.com/statistics/268750/global-gross-domestic-product-gdp/ )   $77.6 Tr  (1/3)
6.2Informal Global GDP est from Reserve Principles(https://www.academia.edu/6257841/Infinite_probes_II )  $155.2 Tr (2/3)

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1920s_Berlin for an actual case history .

So , teach it .
This is what Kim Kardashian is doing . Pay attention !  You will need it .

Skyscrapers of ancient Persepolis .

Andre Willers
22 Nov 2014
Synopsis :
Sophisticated hydraulics enabled elevators , which made multi-story dwellings possible . Also airconditioning , flush toilets , wash basins , etc .

Discussion:
1.Elevator use was limited to VIP’s only , because of security and expense . There was no general description broadcasting the rulers magnificence .
2.The buildings were all at the maximal level for hydraulic lifts . See Appendix A
3.The power came from the basements hydraulics . See exploded view below .

2.See https://www.academia.edu/4038195/Administrative_realities_The_Persepolis_Archives_and_the_archaeology_of_the_Achaemenid_heartland
“Achaemenid Empire
(c.550-330
BC).Itsancient name,Parsa, was also used for Persepolis (Parsa-the-city, not"cityOf the Persians") itself.
This area, the Achaemenid heartland, comprises a series
Of northwest-southeast-orientedvalley systems and some larger intermontane plains. A series
Of dams in the area northof Pasargadae; rock-cut canals between Pasargadae and Persepolis; and sluices and extensive canals in the Persepolis plain
All attest to a massive investment
Of energyand organizational power to bring the Achaemenid heartlandundercultivation.”

The city was nestled in a cradle of hydraulic pressure . Like Hydramawt or Firuzabad .

3.Air-cooling , flat roofs and elevators .
Note that the evidence of the surviving towers and roofs show a remarkable small slope .
Rain water was thriftily collected in rooftop , tanks , then distributed as a fine spray to cool the hot summer days  . Also used for toilets .
Added by water from aquifers , but this was expensive .

4. Air-conditioning cities .
The ancients were ahead of us , only more so .
Look at the Gates . The fine water spray from the top would cool the hot air just enough to create a feeling of well-being .
They kept the effect secret . Add some scents and it becomes only too believable . Any visitor feel good without knowing why .
The PT Barnum effect .

5. Why hasn’t it been found before ?
It has , many times . It simply is swept under the carpet as not fitting the general narrative .

Major brain pathway rediscovered after century-old confusion, controversy
"It was this massive bundle of fibers, visible in every brain I examined," said Jason Yeatman, a research scientist at the University of Washington's Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences. "It seemed unlikely that I was the first to have noticed this structure; however, as far as I could tell, it was absent from the literature and from all major neuroanatomy textbooks."
It had been discovered before in 1912 by Wernicke , forgotten , and any student who did a Oliver Twist got canned . For a whole century . Ain’t science wonderful ?

7. How big must the drops be to break up and aerosol ?
The surprise is that the threshold it’s quite high :  a radius  bigger than 0.3 cm . That is a diameter of 6 mm . The drop will start fragmenting after falling about 2 cm  , then aerosol and evaporate on a hot day .
So , look for channels on top of the roof or pylons or gates with about 5 mm holes .

8. Music at certain frequencies will greatly speed up the droplet formation by disrupting the droplet .
I suspect that if you check these frequencies against typical Persian (or Middle-Eastern) music , you will find a close match . Form follows function .

9. The pipes of ice-cream .
If the owner has a yen for ice-cream , some poor slave had to play the pipe on the roof under the mist .
And you thought the Fiddler on the roof had it tough .

10 Communications :
See Appendix A .
The underground water channels made excellent secret long-distance communication systems . Every conqueror then went out of his way to destroy them  and the nexi .
Which is why Alexander destroyed Persepolis , and the Mongols wasted every quanat .

11.Cultural Terrorism as a Dominance Mechanism .
It sounds so dry . Millions of lives and dreams broken , smashed and kindled on a bonfire of the future .
It has been done deliberately on other times .
But Alexander wanted to smash the culture , and stomp on the twitching remains .
Which he did , as usual successfully .

Persepolis is still a ruin .
“No more soft mist over the pomegranate trees on the terraces .
The peaches have a sand core and pips that watch with snake-eyes.”

Business as usual in one moment .
And the next ?

is highly possible that Mesopotamia and the Iranian plateau are the regions where several kinds of water
systems were first applied and then spread in every direction: Middle East, Kopet-Dag, Indo, Arabia, Greece
and possibly Egypt (Spooner 1974)”

This also includes Hydramawt .
Note that 70-80 feet height approached the limits of hydraulic elevators .
The surviving Persepolis pillars are of that height .

Boosting Mindfullness.

Andre Willers
29 Nov 2014
Synopsis :
Why casino’s are failing . Some simple techniques to make you more conscious , mindfull and smarter . Also luckier . Luck is not Zero-sum .

Discussion :
1.Latest research indicates group meditation as effective as individual therapy .
Group mindfulness treatment is as effective as individual cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in patients with depression and anxiety, according to a new study. This is the first randomized study to compare group mindfulness treatment and individual cognitive behavioral therapy in patients with depression and anxiety in primary health care.
How to set up a group .

2.The joker :
The Group need not be real . Virtual might even be better .

3.Set up a virtual group of Mentor Avatars (like Gauss , Newton , Euler , etc) . Treat them like real persons .
See Appendix I .
You are creating mirror neuron networks in your brain .
Use programs if possible . Start with three .

4.The proliferation of mirror neuronal networks  not only makes you smarter , but more stable as well . Your personality is but a vote amongst mirror networks .

Techniques for how stupid people can do smart things .

6.Sleep and souls .
See
Think of the soul as a “cloud-storage type memory”  .
If updated with primitive compression during sleep  , 1/3 time necessary .
Getting smarter means getting better organized , better packing , and less sleep .
But never zero .
Zero sleep means a discontinuity . And if forced by mechanical or chemical means , will lead to the personality fragmenting (Psychosis) .

Negative sleep is the definition of a mirror neuron or primitive . See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com/2006/06/primitives0.html

Being super-conscious does not mean that you have to be even conscious all the time . (A-la-Gurdjieff)

7.Does God sleep ?
Only during the boring bits . This is where omniscience comes in handy .

8.Approaching singularity effects :
The Souls grow more concentrated as sizes decrease and masses increase . Information transfer improves non-linearly .
This can be measured .
Rhine-card type tests should show a non-linear sine-form increase in correct guesses in the manifold around the experimentee-experimentor pair .

9.What does this mean ?
Casino’s will go out of business .
And here I thought it was simply the economy that Atlantic City is closing up shop .
Everybody is just getting luckier .
The rules are changing .

10 . Well , that was a surprise .
Better watch the universal constants as well .
Big G has varied .
This indicates some significant soul-massing in the vicinity of Sol as we go into the singularity .
Expect significant gravitational anomalies  .

Here’s looking at yourself , kid .

Boosting Mirror Neurons

Andre Willers
1 Oct 2013
Synopsis :
Simple methods using existing technology to boost Mirror Neurons .

Discussion :
0.In order of Effectiveness , ease of use and cost .

1.Zapping intestinal flora and fauna .
Use large doses (6-8 gm)of Vit C , antibiotics ,alcohol etc .
Most of the immune system (80-90%) , including T-cells , is clustered around the intestinal tract to keep all the bugs under control .
Killing them off frees the immune system for other tasks.
See Appendix A why this makes you smarter ..
Note that this is an experimental observation , not an explanation .
Still , it works , is simple and inexpensive .
Why creative people overuse alcohol .
VitC (8gm) will have the same effect . But where is the fun of that ?

2.Utube
The easiest and cheapest way of boosting Mirror Neurons by usage at present .
See Appendix D .
Take flaxseed oil (Omega 3) with it . You need the building blocks .
Real mentors are expensive and scarce .
Virtual avatars of hyperreal mentors are still a bit in the future .
Use a plain mirror and a book and/or verbal instruction if no computer .

An Interesting aside :
The earliest mirror was a bowl of still water . The earliest bowl was a watertight woven basin . Then came ceramics . Compound mirrors where the bowl was black to maximise mirror effect came next . A type of “glazing” . Sadly  , only fragments remain . Not just for women : essential for shaving if you did not want to scalp yourself with a hypersharp flint razor .

3.Juggling
A good illustration of Mirror Neurons . Very quick to learn if a mentor teaches it , visibly .
Otherwise , reinventing the wheel . Actually a good analogue of civilization .
A person with difficulty learning juggling from mentor , will have difficulty being civilized . (He Cannot learn)
See Appendix C .

4. Transcranial Random Noise Stimulation (TRNS)
A bit more high-tech , but it has the virtue that it is passive and fairly quick .
See Appendix B .
A favourite with biological systems .

5.There are many others , but these are measures that can be taken right now .

6.Visual Acuity :
Blind juggling .
The body skin sensors instead of the visual senses are used to train the system to form a mirror image of the juggling balls .
Eventually they are dispensed with  .

In general , Mirror Neurons are not dependant on visual acuity for effectiveness.
But it helps
The frame-forming effect on peripheral vision of spectacles will make things more interesting .

7.Tai Chi
Use a mentor (expensive) or join a group . All involve mirror neurons .
But utube can be used . See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPU4muYW14Y
Trying  it from a book is reinventing the wheel , and not very effective (by about 3 orders of magnitude)

8.Transcendental Meditation ™
A method of mirror neuron entrainment by watching the sub-vocalizations of the mentor . For which you have to pay .
The sub-vocalizations are seen in the neck at subliminal level in the neck . Which is why all the luxuriant beards .
Ironically , the brick turned out to be real gold .
Random Mantras .
One-pad encryption to the Infinite .
See Appendix E . Just randomize the elements . Every day .  It doesn’t matter .

Transcranial Random Noise Stimulation (TRNS)
May 16, 2013 — In the future, if you want to improve your ability to manipulate numbers in your head, you might just plug yourself in. So say researchers who report in the Cell Press journal Current Biology on May 16 on studies of a harmless form of brain stimulation applied to an area known to be important for math ability.
"With just five days of cognitive training and noninvasive, painless brain stimulation, we were able to bring about long-lasting improvements in cognitive and brain functions," says Roi Cohen Kadosh of the University of Oxford.
Incredibly, the improvements held for a period of six months after training. No one knows exactly how this relatively new method of stimulation, called transcranial random noise stimulation (TRNS), works. But the researchers say the evidence suggests that it allows the brain to work more efficiently by making neurons fire more synchronously.
Cohen Kadosh and his colleagues had shown previously that another form of brain stimulation could make people better at learning and processing new numbers. But, he says, TRNS is even less perceptible to those receiving it. TRNS also has the potential to help even more people. That's because it has been shown to improve mental arithmetic -- the ability to add, subtract, or multiply a string of numbers in your head, for example -- not just new number learning. Mental arithmetic is a more complex and challenging task, which more than 20 percent of people struggle with.
Ultimately, Cohen Kadosh says, with better integration of neuroscience and education, this line of study could really help humans reach our cognitive potential in math and beyond. It might also be of particular help to those suffering with neurodegenerative illness, stroke, or learning difficulties.
"Maths is a highly complex cognitive faculty that is based on a myriad of different abilities," Cohen Kadosh says. "If we can enhance mathematics, therefore, there is a good chance that we will be able to enhance simpler cognitive functions."

General

“Susan, I do have a question for you — I am a pretty good juggler already…if I spent 10 minutes a day for like 3 times a week, would it make a difference in the type of work that I do?”

Her response to his question was:

“Yes, juggling for just a few minutes a day will help you be more creative, make faster decisions, and have more access to more of your brain. Take a juggling break when you need to brainstorm something new and creative. It is excellent for building creativity. Try learning a new juggling trick, or juggling higher, behind the back, etc. Be sure to juggle in from of your son–it is good for his mirror neurons!”

Lightweight Si/SiC mirrors of nominal diameter 7.5 cm have been fabricated via a scalable and rapid, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process to demonstrate the CVD mirror fabrication technology. These mirrors consist of a faceplate of either Si or Si‐coated SiC and a lightweight backstructure made of either Si or SiC. The mirrors were polished to a figure better than 1/5th of a wave at 0.6328 Å and a finish of better than 10 Å rms. A procedure for fabricating these mirrors is described. The CVD fabrication process is fast and has the potential to yield several mirrors in a few weeks time from a single reactor. The CVD mirror fabrication technology is quite general and can be extended to include mirrors of other ceramic materials such as TiB2 and B4C.

Generate a random Mantra .
The TM technique is simple mental repetition of a "mantra" or word. The TM movement claims that only specific "words" can be used. They claim that the selection of words is based upon a secret formula. Court documents have shed some light on this "secret" process. It is nothing other than a set of words given out by age, and/or age and sex, depending on the teacher training course the TM teacher attended.
The TM-Sidhi program is nothing other than a set of sutras (words or phrases), mentally repeated every fifteen seconds after doing a twenty minute session of TM. Each sutra is repeated twice, with a 15 second pause in between each repetition.

The "levitation" or "flying" technique, now known as "Yogic Flying," is used in the same way as all other sutras:
"Relationship of body and akasha - lightness of cotton fiber."
This phrase is mentally repeated every fifteen seconds after doing a twenty minute session of TM. Each sutra is mentally repeated twice (if time allows 4 times), with a 15 second pause in between each repetition.
After doing the flying sutra for 5-30 minutes, the instruction is to rest for 10-30 minutes and then read the Hindu Scriptures for 5 minutes.
An example of the readings (from the Ninth Mandala of Rig Veda):
Flow Soma, in a most sweet and exhilarating stream, effused for Indra to drink. The all-beholding destroyer of Rakshasas has stepped upon his gold-smitten birthplace, united with the wooden cask. Be the lavish giver of wealth, most bounteous, the destroyer of enemies; bestow on us the riches of the affluent. Come with food to the sacrifice of the mighty gods, and bring us strength and sustenance. To thee we come, O dropping (Soma); for thee only is this our worship day by day, our prayers are to thee, none other.

KhoiSan Treasure

Andre Willers
30 Nov 2014
Synopsis :
A large treasure of gold and diamonds was hidden by Khoisan chiefs , then forgotten after the pandemics .

Discussion :
1.Does it exist ?
Yes . The Khoi people’s movement went through some of the richest gold and diamond fields on the planet .
They picked up gold jewelry and shiny stones in trade .
Where is the gold , especially ? It’s very absence is extremely suspicious .

2. The Dutch under Van Riebeeck realized that their only hope of keeping any of the gold for themselves was by subterfuge .
So , in time-honored tradition they weakly salted a mine . Just enough to explain their ownership of the gold they extorted from the Khoisan .
“Yet few people, Capetonians included, are aware that Lion’s Head, that magnificent peak that sits adjacent to Table Mountain, came dangerously close to being mined following the discovery of a seemingly economically viable vein of gold in the closing decades of the nineteenth century.
From the moment white settlers arrived on the shores of the Cape of Good Hopein the midseventeenth century, Table Mountain was seen as a possible source of mineral wealth. Indeed, as early as 1654, Jan van Riebeeck, the first commander of the Cape, instructed his men to make a thorough investigation of the peninsula’s mineral potential. However, the exploration ventures did not uncover any metals of economic value.
Nevertheless, the hope that Table Mountain was rich in valuable metals, namelygold and silver, persisted and the baton of exploration was picked up from time to time over the next two centuries. But, as history shows, Lady Luck was never with those prospectors during their pursuit of wealth on the slopes of that majestic mountain.”

3. The Khoisan soon got wise . The gewgaws meant little to them except extreme danger .
So they sensibly gathered them all together (they weren’t completely stupid) and hid them somewhere .
4. Unfortunately , a series of diseases (measles , smallpox , whooping cough , etc) wiped out all those in the know .
5.Diamonds .
There seems to have been a flourishing secret trade in diamonds before the “official” discovery in 1867 . Kept secret from 1600’s , to everybody’s benefit except the taxman .
What is suspicious is how a few minor officials quickly and accurately identified something they should have had no experience about .
Do you know what an uncut diamond looks like ? Or how to identify it .

6. How large a treasure ?
Tons of gold and diamonds , requiring a whole train of baggage oxen .
Notice the necklace and anklets in the contemporary painting below .
Precious metals . Where are they ?

7.Where would they hide it ?
Eyeballing google earth and maps , somewhere  just off the  R324 in the Zuurberge on the way to Barrydale .
A few billion and change , in any currency .
But it belongs to the Khoisan .

Keep provenance , and look under rivers .

9.There should be many anomalous artifacts from Zimbabwe , Ethiopia , Yemen , Middle East  , or even earlier .

Happy hunting .

The Minimum Universe .

Andre Willers
2 Dec 2014
Synopsis :
We calculate the minimum necessary sufficient size for a Universe . (r=2.645 x 10^(-20) meters)

Discussion :
1.A handy view is the holographic principle :
“The holographic principle is a property of string theories and a supposed property of quantum gravity that states that the description of a volume of space can be thought of as encoded on a boundary to the region”

2.While the boundary of a volume can be mathematically regarded as two-dimensional , in reality it has to be at least one Planck-length deep . At least one particle of matter .
Planck length, denoted P, is a unit of length, equal to 1.616199(97)×10−35 metres

3.The Shell Principle :
A Universe of Radius R(0) has all it’s  information encoded in a shell of depth b  around it .
VolShell = 4/3*pi   [  (R(0) + b)^3 – R(0)^3]
This means that VolShell = 4/3*pi*R(0)^3 from an information viewpoint . All the data in the sphere is packed into the shell .
This gives b= (2^(1/3)  -1) * R(0)
                       = 0.259921049 *R(0)
4. We iterate this .
Every shell has another shell around it  , and this decreases by the above factor of 0.26 .
We iterate until b is equal to one Planck length  .
This gives about 26 iterations .

5.What does this mean ?
The 26 shells are in one-to-one correspondence with the minimum necessary sufficient Arith I systems to describe any universe .
The “bubbles” of numbers or space-time correspond to the shells .

6.The minimum necessary sufficient size for any universe with a Planck length .
From above , n = 25.62 + ln(R(0)) / 1.343773
N is 26  as a minimum .

This gives 2.6458 x 10^(-20) meters  as the minimum size of a universe , but it still has to have at least 26 dimensions .

7.This would translate as the pre-inflationary size of the Universe .

Why does it inflate then ?
The Schwinger limit is exceeded in the shells http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwinger_limit
The system goes chasing it’s own tail in a wild , non-linear feedback .

8. What does it mean ?
8.1 Creating universes is much easier than we thought .
But your kernel must include iron or a multiple atomic number . See 8.2 below .
No mass concentrations . Only exceed the  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwinger_limit

8.2  Stable transuranics
The system is fractal , so expect islands of stability at beats of 26 .
Why iron is at the bottom of the nucleonic packing curve .
It is the simplest way of describing this universe .

Expect Stability at
Iron (26)
Tellurion(52)
Platinum (78)
Rutherfordium (104)
Element (130)
Element (156)
Element(182)
Element (208)
Etc

9. Minimum self-sustaining biospheres .
We use the Shell principle in para 3 above .
Biosphere volume for Earth = = 4/3*pi   [  (R(0) + b)^3 – R(0)^3]
Here R(0) = 6371 km b = 23 km
Shell Number
After 14 iterations we can pack the whole of Earth’s biosphere into a sphere of 2 cm radius ..

You can measure a civilization’s level by the concentration of it’s biosphere .
For instance , Earth is a level 0 civilization .
The whole biosphere (6371 km) is packed into itself .

9.1 How big a spaceship do you need for your biosphere , given your level of knowledge ?
Levels : radius of a spaceship to accommodate the whole biosphere .
0.   6371 km  Earth .
1.    1410 km a big spaceship .
2.   366 km  Better  bio knowledge
3.   95km
4.   24km
5.    6 km
6.    2 km
7.    400 m
8.   104 m
9.   27 m
10 .  7 m
11.    2 m

Risk of pregnant flying

Andre Willers
3 Dec 2014
Synopsis :
Do not put your unborn daughter on a plane , Mrs Worthington . This is an avoidable risk .

Discussion :
1.A family history of pre-eclampsia . Ask Ermeine .
A sudden decompression / compression  like the air pressure in an aircraft will set you up for more serious complications later .
2.The gunk they now pump into the air without telling the passengers . Especially after Ebola .
The health effects of pyrethroids include dermal paresthesia, exacerbation of pre-existing asthma and, at high doses, excitatory neurotoxicity (2). Airline passengers may not associate the adverse effects they experience with pesticide exposure aboard aircraft because they are unaware of the exposure and do not recognize the signs and symptoms of pesticide-related illness, and several hours may elapse before the onset of symptoms (3). Children may be especially susceptible to such adverse effects.
3. Genetic influence .
Summary. Familial predisposition and patterns of genetic inheritance of eclampsia and pre-eclampsia were investigated through three or four generations in 94 families from the homogenous island population of Iceland. The families descended from index women delivered in the years 1931–47 and who had either eclampsia (n = 38) or severe preeclampsia (n = 69). Inheritance was followed both through sons and daughters. The prevalence of pre-eclampsia and eclampsia in daughters was significantly higher (23%) than that in daughters-in-law (10%). No difference was noted in the prevalence of these diseases by whether the daughter was born of an eclamptic or pre-eclamptic mother or whether she was a first or later born daughter. There was a non-significantly higher occurrence of pre-eclampsia among grand-daughters than in grand-daughters-in-law. No difference was seen by whether granddaughters descended through sons or daughters. With increasing numbers of affected daughters or grand-daughters the probability rose of finding more affected women in a family. Hypotheses of single recessive and dominant gene inheritance were compared and maximum likelihood estimates for gene frequency obtained. For a single recessive gene model this was 0.31 reflecting a population prevalence of 9.6%, whereas a dominant model with incomplete penetrance gave 0.14 at 48% gene penetrance, corresponding to a population prevalence of 0.9% homozygous expression of severe disease and 11% heterozygous expression of milder disease. Either genetic model could fit the data.

If you are on beta blockers or serotonin re-uptake blockers , do not fly . The reduced air pressure will harm your baby .

5.Temporal stress
Jet lag on the fetus .
Timing is critical during most of gestation .
Development  has to follow critical pathways .
Do you really want to mess around with this ?
The “experts”  have no better idea than you , because nobody ever bothered to research it .
See
The whole nine-months is inked in . Messing around with the timing causes cascading problems .

You can always travel later with your daughter .

Avoid unnecessary risks .

Black Death by Seal .

Andre Willers
5 Dec 2014
Synopsis :
Pneumonic plague , like TB , was spread by seals . Hence the rapid spread by waterways , and ineffectiveness of quarantines .

Discussion :
1.TB spread by Seal .
Repeated in Appendix A below .

2. TB is spread by aerosol . So is pneumonic plague .

3.Putative transmission human to seal or dolphin .
Humans in quarantine on board ships with the pneumonic form swim and breathe bubbles .
Seals and dolphins swim through the bubbles .
It only takes a few viri to make it through .
TB , according to hard evidence , did . See Appendix A .

4. How long to cross the Atlantic ?
https://www.dolphins.org/sea_lion_info  : at 6 mph , about 20 days .

5.Which diseases are will cross ?
5.1 TB proven . Long term infectiousness .
5.2 Pneumonic plague .  40 days .  See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com/2005/08/black-death.html
This could have been transmitted by cetaceans across the atlantic  , then spread further by riverine humans and seals or otters .

5.3 Ebola .
Ebola seems to have at least four vectors :
Riverine mammals (otters , rats) , Bats , Plants , Humans . Hopefully , not birds .
Notice in map below that the countries affected all have sea-borders  or river connections .
Haemorrhagic fevers are usually called after the nearest river . Nominative determinism , or unconscious connection ?

6.Bush meat .
The correlation usually made is that these genetic crossovers are caused by insufficient protein from fishing , leading to increased consumption of bush meat .

7. This has it backward , in usual human fashion .
Humans are obligate omega-3 consumers .

They have to get some extra omega-3 fatty acids . So they eat more sea-bushmeat like seals , otters , dolphins . All susceptible to Ebola .
This is the primary vector .

8. Warning :
This means that Ebola outbreaks can be expected on the Florida , Mexican , South American coasts . These would have been spread by dolphins or seals .
Remember , this has happened before with TB .
As expected, See http://www.itg.be/internet/ebola/ebola-50.htmfor South American hemorrhagic fevers .

9.Black Death Spread by rivers  and ocean faster than a horse .
Note the river and canal routes .

10 . The cure was worse than the disease .
Sigh . Quarantine of ships just massively increased the probability of pneumonic infection from humans to marine mammals , who then rapidly spread it .

11.This must have happened repeatedly in history to give all the hemorrhagic fevers in the America’s .
I would insist on a good biohazard suit before investigating a well-preserved North-American mammal circa 11000 YearsAgo

12.Why ?
It seems that humans did not kill them . Something else did . See Appendix B

The end of the Ice Age did .

But not in the usual fashion .
As the ice melted , streams formed . They combined to form path to the sea .
The reverse is also true .
The sea could come to the herds in the hinterlands , long isolated .
Any mammalian disease , not just hemorrhagic fevers would spread in a virgin field .
The same thing repeated in the Arctic areas .
And is happening now .

Shit . Ebola in the Arctic circle is a distinct possibility . As well as something like 1918 Flu .

13. The Biggest and fastest  killer : Flu .
A pneumonic viral disease .
Nearly did for the humans in 1918 .
“A cough at 08h00 and a coffin at 14h00”.  This actually happened .
Reminding of mastodons “dropping dead”  and then freezing . This actually happened to humans .
Well the dropping dead part .

“In August 1918, a more virulent strain appeared simultaneously in Brest, France, in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and in the U.S. in Boston, Massachusetts.”
Note the ocean/river connection .

14. Predictions :
14.1 Major Ebola and other tropical diseases appearing on the Eastern coasts of North , Middle and South America . Just look at the map .
14.2 At least two major Flu epidemics (1918 scale) will wipe out major mammals remaining on the Arctic . So get  them into zoos now .
Why ? Gaia balancing books .
14.3  Unexpected desertification of previously temperate regions .
Why ?
Gaia operates to keep 1/3 of the land surface of the planet  desert , as an open mine for trace elements for the rest . Simple , elegant and proven .
Global warming causes massive rain on previous deserts (like California now Dec 2014) .  Gaia compensates by creating new deserts .
Which happens to be somebody’s prized farmland .

Dessert is nicer .
Andre .

Seals brought TB to Americas
Bacteria found in ancient Peru remains points to relatively recent origin of the disease and to its spread by sea.

Sara Marsteller
Infection from marine mammals could explain how tuberculosis spread to people living in Peru at a time when the Americas were already geographically isolated.
Ancient bacterial genome sequences collected from human remains in Peru suggest that seals first gave tuberculosis (TB) to humans in the Americas.
Modern TB strains found in North and South America are closely related to strains from Europe, suggesting that the Spaniards introduced the disease to the New World when they colonized South America in the sixteenth century.
Beginning in the 1950s, however, palaeoanthropological studies found evidence of lesions associated with TB in pre-Columbian skeletons in South America. This suggested that a member of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex, the group of related bacterial species responsible for the disease, was present on the continent before European contact.
In a study published today in Nature1, a team led by palaeogeneticist Johannes Krause at the University of Tübingen in Germany provides DNA evidence for this theory. The researchers present three 1,000-year-old M. tuberculosis genomes extracted from human skeletons found in Peru.
“We wanted to reconstruct the genome of those ancient M. tuberculosis to obtain a sort of molecular fossil,” explains Krause. “Pathogens don’t leave fossils, but they do leave their DNA in the skeleton, teeth and bones of the victims of the disease.” Having sequenced the three genomes, the researchers set out to understand how these ancient TB strains were related to modern ones.
Calibrated clock
Related stories
The general opinion in recent years has been that TB emerged about 70,000 years ago, and that modern humans first acquired it before leaving Africa2. These dates were worked out by measuring how much all known strains of TB bacteria differ from each other, and then using the rate at which genetic differences accumulate — a 'molecular clock'— to work out how much time was needed for all that diversity to evolve.
Krause and his colleagues did their own molecular-clock calculation, basing the rate of TB evolution on the differences between modern strains and the 1,000-year-old Peruvian ones. Their results suggest that the most recent common ancestor (MRCA) of all strains of M. tuberculosis evolved less than 6,000 years ago.
“This is a landmark paper that challenges our previous ideas about the origins of tuberculosis, not just in the Americas but in the Old World too,” says Terry Brown, a biomolecular archaeologist at the University of Manchester, UK. The date is so recent that it “suggests that previous estimates for the MRCA were wildly incorrect”, he says. However, he adds, more Mycobacterium genome sequences, and from different time periods, will be needed to confirm this result.
Mystery journey
If these findings are correct and M. tuberculosis is less than 6,000 years old, they pose another conundrum. The microbe must have reached the Americas before Europeans arrived, but after the land bridge between North America and Asia disappeared around 11,000 years ago, Krause notes. “How did it get to America, say, from Asia, if there was no longer a land bridge?”
In the search for answers, the researchers decided to look at the genetics of 40 different strains of tuberculosis that infect animals. They found that the ancient strains from Peru were not like human-adapted forms, but were very similar to forms called Mycobacterium pinnipedii, which are adapted to seals and sea lions.
Mycobacterium pinnipedii has been transmitted from seals to humans in zoos. Brown notes that in the past archaeologists have speculated that this might have been a source of TB infection in coastal areas of South America, where seals were hunted.
Tom Gilbert, an evolutionary biologist at the University of Copenhagen, says that the seal-transfer idea is certainly attractive, but he is cautious about the paper’s conclusion. “What’s more likely — that marine mammals gave rise to tuberculosis in humans in South America, or that we simply haven’t sampled enough relevant terrestrial hosts on the continent to spot the true ancestor?”
Krause agrees that because this ancient strain does not exist in people today, we cannot say for sure that it was adapted to its new host, meaning that it became transmissible from human to human. “To nail this hypothesis we would have to find tuberculosis in North America and in inland populations in South America.”

Humans Are Off the Hook for the Mastodon Extinction

Written by
CONTRIBUTOR
December 1, 2014 // 03:54 PM EST
North America once hosted a spectacular diversity of megafauna, including giant sloths, giant condors, and giant beavers (can you spot the theme?). But perhaps the most iconic species of the Pleistocene continent was the American mastodon, an elephant-like animal  weighing about five tons, which suddenly went extinct about 11,000 years ago. But what drove this species, which was otherwise incredibly successful, to drop off face of the planet?
A paper  published today in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences sheds new light on this ongoing paleontological mystery, and suggests that humans, at least, are off the hook for the mastodon’s extinction.
“There was a provocative idea that came out back in the 1960s, called overkill, suggesting that the first people that came to North America across the Bering Land Bridge went on this rampaging killing spree,” lead author Grant Zazula, a paleontologist at the Yukon Palaeontology Program, told me over the phone.
“When people first entered North America at the end of the Ice Age, it was a small population, pretty sparse groups of people,” he continued. “To think of them just mowing everything down in front of them using spears is not a very satisfactory explanation.”

Comparison of mastodon (left) and a mammoth. Image: George/press release.
Zazula and his colleagues, including American Museum of Natural History curator and paleontologist Ross MacPhee, were able to rule out humans by revisiting and updating the timeline of the mastodon’s migration south from the Arctic.
They used two different methods of radiocarbon dating on 36 fossilized mastodon teeth, and discovered that the specimens were much older than originally estimated.
“In a nutshell, what we found that there isn’t really a basis for thinking that mastodons lived anywhere further north than say, the Great Lakes, except when conditions were especially warm like they were in the last interglaciation [about 125,000 years ago],” MacPhee told me over the phone.
The results suggest that mastodons were long gone by the time the last full glacial period was in swing 75,000 years ago, contrary to previous research. Humans didn’t make their way to North America until around 14,000 years ago, which means they could not have sparked the mastodon’s mass exodus to the south.
That’s not to say that humans didn’t contribute to the animal’s extinction, or to the decrease in megafauna more generally. But the species was already in deep trouble long before humans were on the scene—a finding that’s backed up by genetic analysis.
“You can use genetic diversity as a proxy for population diversity,” explained Zazula. “It’s been done with a number of Ice Age species, and what’s actually provocative about a lot of the data is that their populations are in steady decline leading up to the final extinction. These are populations that are going downhill anyway, and something happened at the end of the Ice Age that pushed them over the edge.”
“What’s causing that overall decline in diversity has to be something other than humans because for the most part, humans weren’t around,” he added.

Zazula cutting samples of American mastodon bones for radiocarbon dating. Image: Grant Zazula
So if humans didn’t kill off the mastodons, then what did? That’s the million dollar question. “There really isn’t a good answer, and that’s what makes the question interesting still,” said Zazula, “because the answer isn’t really clear and there’s still lots to be learned.”
Climate change definitely played a role by limiting the animal’s range, but that doesn’t explain the extremely sudden drop-off 11,000 years ago. “We know that these mammals went through numerous periods of rapid climate change in the past and our evidence shows that they were always able to pull through,” said Zazula. “So what makes the Ice Age so different that they just weren’t able to pull through?”
Some scientists have speculated that an extraterrestrial impact—from either an asteroid or a comet—was behind the swift disappearance of megafauna, but Zazula says the evidence for that is dodgy. Meanwhile, MacPhee has theorized that a pandemic may have raged through the mastodon population, effectively wiping them from the face of the Earth.
“Infectious diseases, particularly ones for which the species in question have no innate capacity to deal with—no genetically based immunity—could have caused essentially an instantaneous drop in population size, which is really what you need to do to provoke an extinction,” he told me. There is not a lot of evidence to back that up at the moment, but the last decade has produced major advances in detecting pathogens in fossils, so the theory may yet bear fruit.
For the moment, however, the death of the mastodon remains one of paleontology’s most alluring unsolved mysteries. “We’re really missing something,” said Zazula. “Something just doesn’t make sense. It really defies all explanation right now.”
But regardless of the reasons behind their beleaguered end, MacPhee thinks the species are entitled to more respect for what they did with their time on the planet.
“Mastodons never get good press and I never understood why,” he told me. “They were very successful not only in the old world but also in the new world. They got over most of the habitable part of the world at one time or another.”
Point taken. While it’s great to hear that humans weren’t responsible for edging out a species for once, the team’s paper is also a welcome opportunity to reflect on how truly awesome mastodons were—in the original sense of the adjective.

Xenon Hof Memory Programming

Andre Willers
7 Dec 2014
Synopsis :
Xenon Hof technique enables programming of the body memory system , including immune system . It also means Mars has a biosphere .

Discussion :
0.Overview :
Xenon evolved into forgetty role to prevent maximumEffort-paralysis by partially zapping memory of all systems .
This includes immune , brain  and epigenetic systems .
The epigenetics is Surprising , but it has to be , since many memory systems are epigenetic in nature .
It had to be scarce and , well, noble .
Used with MSM and Melatonin .
See para 7 below .

1.The Hof Technique :
Simple exercises taught in 10 days that had a marked effect on autoimmune responses .
See Appendix A and Appendix B

2.Xenon for bad memories
See Appendix C .
This is further indicated in the use of Xenon in athletic doping . See Appendix F
As Tim Noakes has found , expectation of stress based on memory degrades maximal performance at an unconscious level .
Something like bodily PTSD .

3.The missing Xenon .
See Appendix E . On both Earth and Mars the atmospheric concentration of xenon does not match solar meteor concentrations .
Where is the missing xenon ?

Since xenon seems to play a crucial role in some important biological processes (Appendices C and F) , I strongly suspect that the missing xenon is hiding in plain sight in the biosphere .
But in very , very low concentrations spread out amongst the nervous systems .

It seems that no one has really looked for it there .
On the web there is no data  about xenon presence in the body , yet we know that is  there .
The evolutionary pathways used in Appendices C , F must have had xenon .

4. Mars
If this argument is correct , it means that Mars has a biosphere . Nearly certainly underground lakes and river networks with lifeforms .
So pack your biohazard suit when visiting .

5.So how does the body sequester xenon from the atmosphere ?
The Hof process is essentially 3 fold  :  Meditation , variation in breathing , exposure to temperature variants . See Appendix B

Take a step back to bacterial level . Scratch meditation .
This leaves breathing and temperature .
Hyperventilation /retention (O2 /CO2/PH flux) followed by rapid cooling (metabolic stand-down marker)

This triggers the activation of some heat-shock proteins that enzymatically copies the fractional-distillation of xenon from the atmosphere . See Appendix D
Well within bio capability .
Since this involves stand-downs in bio rates , it would involve some variant of the hibernation system to be activated .
So ,  MSM is an adjuvant to Xenon .
Anaesthesiologists  take note .

6.Termination .
The process can be terminated by Melatonin . See http://andreswhy.blogspot.com/2011/06/melatonin-and-dinosaurs.html

7.Xenon Hof Express Method for humans .
Dial down maximal pain memories in a hurry .

7.1 Take MSM . Wait about 10 minutes .
7.2 Hyperventilate (with Xenon if available) :about 12 breaths .
7.3 Activate diving reflex by holding breath as long as possible while plunging your face alternately into a basin of ice water and a basin of scorching hot water .
7.4 This will activate xenon extraction mechanism . Memory decrease follows . PTSD betterment .

7.5 Using it for maximal endurance like running means your memory of all things will also deteriorate . So don’t do this the night before the exam .
With autoimmune diseases just do it for 12 breaths and terminate with melatonin (pill)
7.6 Terminate with Melatonin . (Sleep)

8.Is there any way to enhance memory ?
Not that I can see . It is one of the reasons why Xenon evolved into the role .
The best you can do is prevent unnecessary memory loss with a Xenon antagonist . But xenon is noble , and cannot have a chemical antagonist . QED .
Nature really does not like too high efficiencies .
And a very efficient memory of anykind seems high on her zap list .

9.Try it .
It should help for edema’s , high blood pressure , high blood sugars , some arthritis , etc .

Who goes here ?

Appendix A
Hof technique .
Scientific Proof:
Exercises Wim Hof Method influence the autonomous nervous system and immune system
With the help of simple techniques like breathing exercises, meditation and repeated exposure to cold you can activate the autonomic nervous system and inhibit the response of your immune system. Researchers from the Radboud University Medical Center have provided the first scientific evidence for this in an article published yesterday in the leading scientific journals PNAS and Nature.
A well-functioning immune system protects our body from pathogens. But sometimes the immune response is too pronounced or persistent. This can lead to the development of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatism. Our immune system is controlled, amongst other things, by the autonomic nervous system, which is involved in the ‘fight-or-flight response’. It was always thought that we could not voluntarily influence either the immune system or the autonomic nervous system. However, experiments from intensive care researcher Dr. Matthijs Kox and Professor of Experimental Intensive Care Medicine Peter Pickkers now demonstrate that this is possible using certain techniques. Importantly, the researchers emphasize that it has not yet been investigated whether these techniques could be effective in patients.

Training Wim Hof Method
‘Iceman’ Wim Hof trained twelve healthy young male volunteers for ten days in a number of specific techniques. The training partly took place in Poland where the volunteers learned breathing and meditation exercises and to walk in short trousers through the snow and swim in ice-cold waters. Back in the Netherlands, scientists gave both the twelve trained subjects and twelve healthy non-trained volunteers an injection containing endotoxin, a component from the cell-wall of bacteria that elicits a response from the immune system. Pickkers: “By administering a dead bacterial component we are actually fooling the body. The immune system responds as if living bacteria are present in the blood stream and produces inflammatory proteins. As a result of this the subjects develop symptoms such as fever and headache. We can therefore use this approach to investigate the immune system of humans.”
Stress hormone
Kox: “The trained men produced more of the hormone epinephrine as a result of the techniques they had learned.” Epinephrine is a stress hormone that is released during increased activity of the sympathetic nervous system and it suppresses the immune response. “We indeed observed that in the trained subjects the release of inflammatory proteins was attenuated and that they experienced far less flu-like symptoms,” says Kox.
Previous iceman research
Iceman Wim Hof is famous for his various records related to cold-exposure. In his own words he can realize these by influencing his autonomic nervous system. In 2011, researchers from Radboud university medical center investigated the response of Hof’s body to an endotoxin injection while he was practicing the techniques he had developed himself. He was found to produce less than half the quantity of inflammatory proteins than healthy volunteers who had not mastered his method. Furthermore, he exhibited almost no flu-like symptoms. The result was so remarkable that the researchers decided to carry out a follow-up study.

Significance
Hitherto, both the autonomic nervous system and innate immune system were regarded as systems that cannot be voluntarily influenced. The present study demonstrates that, through practicing techniques learned in a short-term training program, the sympathetic nervous system and immune system can indeed be voluntarily influenced. Healthy volunteers practicing the learned techniques exhibited profound increases in the release of epinephrine, which in turn led to increased production of anti-inflammatory mediators and subsequent dampening of the proinflammatory cytokine response elicited by intravenous administration of bacterial endotoxin. This study could have important implications for the treatment of a variety of conditions associated with excessive or persistent inflammation, especially autoimmune diseases in which therapies that antagonize proinflammatory cytokines have shown great benefit.
Abstract
Excessive or persistent proinflammatory cytokine production plays a central role in autoimmune diseases. Acute activation of the sympathetic nervous system attenuates the innate immune response. However, both the autonomic nervous system and innate immune system are regarded as systems that cannot be voluntarily influenced. Herein, we evaluated the effects of a training program on the autonomic nervous system and innate immune response. Healthy volunteers were randomized to either the intervention (n = 12) or control group (n = 12). Subjects in the intervention group were trained for 10 d in meditation (third eye meditation), breathing techniques (i.a., cyclic hyperventilation followed by breath retention), and exposure to cold (i.a., immersions in ice cold water). The control group was not trained. Subsequently, all subjects underwent experimental endotoxemia (i.v. administration of 2 ng/kg Escherichia coli endotoxin). In the intervention group, practicing the learned techniques resulted in intermittent respiratory alkalosis and hypoxia resulting in profoundly increased plasma epinephrine levels. In the intervention group, plasma levels of the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 increased more rapidly after endotoxin administration, correlated strongly with preceding epinephrine levels, and were higher. Levels of proinflammatory mediators TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-8 were lower in the intervention group and correlated negatively with IL-10 levels. Finally, flu-like symptoms were lower in the intervention group. In conclusion, we demonstrate that voluntary activation of the sympathetic nervous system results in epinephrine release and subsequent suppression of the innate immune response in humans in vivo. These results could have important implications for the treatment of conditions associated with excessive or persistent inflammation, such as autoimmune diseases.

Abstract
Xenon (Xe) is a noble gas that has been developed for use in people as an inhalational anesthestic and a diagnostic imaging agent. Xe inhibits glutamatergic N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors involved in learning and memory and can affect synaptic plasticity in the amygdala and hippocampus, two brain areas known to play a role in fear conditioning models of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Because glutamate receptors also have been shown to play a role in fear memory reconsolidation – a state in which recalled memories become susceptible to modification – we examined whether Xe administered after fear memory reactivation could affect subsequent expression of fear-like behavior (freezing) in rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were trained for contextual and cued fear conditioning and the effects of inhaled Xe (25%, 1 hr) on fear memory reconsolidation were tested using conditioned freezing measured days or weeks after reactivation/Xe administration. Xe administration immediately after fear memory reactivation significantly reduced conditioned freezing when tested 48 h, 96 h or 18 d after reactivation/Xe administration. Xe did not affect freezing when treatment was delayed until 2 h after reactivation or when administered in the absence of fear memory reactivation. These data suggest that Xe substantially and persistently inhibits memory reconsolidation in a reactivation and time-dependent manner, that it could be used as a new research tool to characterize reconsolidation and other memory processes, and that it could be developed to treat people with PTSD and other disorders related to emotional memory.

Xenon

Occurrence and production[edit]
Xenon is a trace gas in Earth's atmosphere, occurring at 87±1 parts per billion (nL/L), or approximately 1 part per 11.5 million,[49] and is also found in gases emitted from somemineral springs.
Xenon is obtained commercially as a byproduct of the separation of air into oxygen and nitrogen. After this separation, generally performed by fractional distillation in a double-column plant, the liquid oxygen produced will contain small quantities of krypton and xenon. By additional fractional distillation steps, the liquid oxygen may be enriched to contain 0.1–0.2% of a krypton/xenon mixture, which is extracted either via adsorption onto silica gel or by distillation. Finally, the krypton/xenon mixture may be separated into krypton and xenon via distillation.[50][51] Worldwide production of xenon in 1998 was estimated at 5,000–7,000 m3.[52] Because of its low abundance, xenon is much more expensive than the lighter noble gases—approximate prices for the purchase of small quantities in Europe in 1999 were 10 /L for xenon, 1 €/L for krypton, and 0.20 €/L for neon;[52] the much more plentiful argon costs less than a cent per liter.

Mystery of missing Xenon
Xenon, the second heaviest of the chemically inert noble gases, has gone missing. Our atmosphere contains far less xenon, relative to the lighter noble gases, than meteorites similiar to the rocky material that formed the Earth.
The missing-xenon paradox is one of science’s great whodunits. Researchers have hypothesized that the element is lurking in glaciers, minerals or Earth’s core, among other places.
“Scientists always said the xenon is not really missing. It’s not in the atmosphere, but it’s hiding somewhere,”

XENON AND SPORTS PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT
Research suggests that breathing xenon boosts the body’s production of a protein known as HIF1 Alpha (HIF1A). If you’d like to learn more about HIF1A and how it works you can read these articles we published last year, but the simplified version is that HIF1A seems to act by stimulating the production of other compounds in the body, including EPO.
As a quick reminder, EPO is a hormone that regulates the body’s production of red blood cells. Stimulate the production of EPO and you get more red blood cells; get more red blood cells and you increase the blood’s ability to transport oxygen around the body. An increased ability to transport oxygen may theoretically lead to an increase in athletic performance, particularly when we’re talking about high endurance sports such as competitive cycling. (Click here to read more about how EPO works).
While much research has been done on xenon gas and its use as an anaesthetic, little has been done on its ability to improve athletic performance. But in Russia there are those that swear by xenon and its benefits for endurance athletes.
BUT DOES XENON IMPROVE ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE?
The 2010 ZAO Atom-Med Center presentation mentioned above cites research which tested the athletic performance of a number of professional athletes pre- and post-xenon use, including the use of placebos in the case of some athletes. The research reportedly showed that MedXenon, a brand of xenon gas mixture owned by the ZAO Atom-Med Center, works within just five minutes of application and has a lasting effect of up to 80 hours.
While it’s difficult to assess how rigorous the research testing is in this case — particularly given the product being tested is owned by the agency involved in manufacturing and selling it — the Russian government both acknowledges the work being done at ZAO Atom-Med Center and has supported the use of xenon for Russian athletes.

Synopsis :
Both Venus and Mars has larger biospheres than Earth and has similar biochemistry . Jupiter has surprisingly similar life .

Discussion :
1.Xenon as measure of DNA presence . See Appendix 1 .
2. Planetary concentrations :
2.0 Solar system : 1.587 ppm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenon
2.1 Venus : less than 0.12 ppm  https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/docs/5.8_Mahaffy.pdf
2.4 Jupiter 4.126 ppm  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenon
Where there is significant discrepancies between solar Xenon and planetary xenon , it is caused by lifeforms .

3.This means that all three inner planets has biospheres of compatible DNA . See Appendix 1.
And that Jupiter has a biosphere as well . But totally different .
If it has , then many of it’s satellites will as well , but no data is available .

4. Why ?
Life seems to like xenon .
See Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 .

4.1 Venus :
4.1.1 Venus Biosphere Air :
Cloud-borne lifeforms in the upper atmosphere .
4.1.2 Subterranean beneath the pavement .
Both together would be larger than earth’s biosphere .

4.2 Earth :
Cloud , surface , subterranean (which includes submarine)

4.3 Mars and Venus :
Subterranean (old and extensive) , minor cloud .
Still larger than Earth or Venus .
A good portion of the crust are hollow fractures .
Both Mars and Venus got paved over .
But the fracturing of the crust created very large subterranean biospheres .
Venus really large . Sealed in most of the water. Cloud system driven by leakages and occasional meteor impacts .

Ecosystems that would transform the arid and frigid parts of earth .
Careful what you wish for . This is a cure nearly worse than the disease .

4.4 Jupiter :
“The resulting spin polarization of xenon nuclei can surpass 50% of its maximum possible value, greatly exceeding the thermal equilibrium value dictated by paramagnetic statistics (typically 0.001% of the maximum value at room temperature, even in the strongest magnets). Such non-equilibrium alignment of spins is a temporary condition, and is called hyperpolarization. The process of hyperpolarizing the xenon is called optical pumping (although the process is different from pumping a laser).[67]
Xenon is used to transfer energy for Jupiter lifeforms . Like blood , only more so .
The life density must be very high (at least cube of energy density) .
Hint :  Shoemaker-Levy comet :
“Additionally, the team asserts that ammonia transport from the upper troposphere to the stratosphere by means of the impact plumes must be investigated.

4.5 Xenon / O2 :
O2 on Earth at STP = 209 460 ppm .
Xenon on Jupiter upper atmosphere  is 4.126 ppm
Xenon at 209460/4.126 ~ 50 765 atmospheres would have the same energy transfer capability as oxygen on earth at sea level .
Look at the graph below .
The image shows the vertical structure of the atmosphere of Jupiter. The temperature is shown as a function of pressure (black line). The approximate altitudes of atmospheric transitions troposhere–stratopshere (tropopause) and stratosphere–thermosphere are shown, as well as tropospheric cloud layers. Remember , 273 K = 0 Celsius .
Jupiter has a big biosphere at 50 000 atmospheres and 0 – 100 celsius .
At least 200 times as large as Earth’s biosphere . . See appendix 2 . One would have expected a bigger factor , but habitability belt is quite small .
Weird life , though . Cycling through phase states (gas , liquid ,solid) in the normal course of a day . With size varying accordingly .
Spread over 200 Terra equivalents , there will always be hi-tech and low-tech Jovians .
Temporal perception is relative to temperature (old doubling of chemical interactions with every 10 degree Celsius increase)
This means that humans can always find a Jovian society of some type to interact with .
Just hope it is not the missionary type .

VolShell = 4/3*pi   [  (R(0) + b)^3 – R(0)^3]

3.   95km
4.   24km
5.    6 km
6.    2 km
7.    400 m
8.   104 m
9.   27 m
10 .  7 m
11.    2 m
12.   24 cm
13.   7 cm
14.   1.9 cm

10. How to do this ?

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon

Andre Willers
12 Dec 2014
Synopsis :
The Hanging Gardens Of Babylon  was why the city was built . A huge , fortified , vertical farm . The whole city was the garden . And that was the wonder of it . They actually were in advance of anything existing today .

Discussion :
The closest image I can find on the web . A far cry from today .

1.A quick calculation :
Size of Babylon : 900 hectares . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babylon
This is 3000 m x 3000 m.
2.The walls at every 10 m and 20 m high .
This gives surface area of walls of
A=(3000/10)^2 x2x2x20 sq m
  = 540 000 000 sqm
  =133 437 acres .
3.One person requires
1.    0.07 ha / 0.17 acre
The minimum amount of arable land required to sustainably support one person is 0.07 of a hectare. This assumes a largely vegetarian diet, no farmland degradation or water shortages, virtually no post- harvest waste, and farmers who know precisely when and how to plant, fertilize, irrigate, etc.

Thus  , Babylon could support 133437/0.17 = 784 923 persons from it’s vertical farms alone .

4.Babylon’s population :
Babylon about 200 000  .
This leaves a huge surplus , used in projection of power throughout the region .

5.Babylon exported food . Amazing !
The rural areas did not feed the city !
But it had to keep control of the waterworks . Hence the continual large military presence .
Empire in self-defense .

6.Copycats :
Niniveh .
They did it better .

7.Destruction :
No wonder the cities never recovered .
The walls and irrigation works were deliberately destroyed , and with it the foundation of the power of Babylon and Niniveh
See how the Persians retained some remnants of the city-wide air-conditioning and intensive agriculture .

8.How on earth did this develop ?
After the collapse of the Bronze age and really bad droughts in the region and volkewanderung reivers
Former agricultural societies depopulated , and was forced to grow food inside fortified compounds .
This naturally evolved into vertical farms and some very good farmers .

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon .
The whole city was one big ,air-conditioned  hanging garden , with aerosols of water cascading from above .
Cool .
Eat your hearts out , greens .

9. Something similar is happening today in the Greening of Inner Cities . A sure sign of collapse .

10. The Tower of Babel.
An extravagance of learning , enabling large trees in terraces .
The trees came first , then , because it was elitist , the academics followed .
Scholars from everywhere , all talking different languages .
The original inspiration for Plato’s Academe of trees .

11. Vertical farming in the middle East was deliberately destroyed by local powers for short term gain , as was the quanat system later by the Mongols .
The result is the desert of today .

Typical of the Tragedy of The Commons .
Grow up or die .

Exchange Controls

Andre Willers
14 Dec 2014
Synopsis :
Exchange controls are taxes that defines boundaries . Negative taxes are portals through boundary of State or Cell .

Discussion :
1.Biological Analogue :
A cell-wall can be seen as a border , and receptor sites as custom posts . Taxes then vary from 100% (ie don’t allow in) , to minus infinity.
A minus infinity receptor site is essentially wormhole through the cell wall .
Normal values would be more like  Tax = -100% , ie subsidies . A cell portal .

2.Why the analogue ?
Because we have some large numbers to play with . Hundreds of millions of years and trillions of cells .
Then we can use the General Reserve arguments .
See

QuickStats: Mean Percentage Body Fat, by Age Group and Sex --- National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, United States, 1999—2004

3.Risking the reserves :
The argument is fractal .
So , there are optimal ways of risking your reserves.
Reserve at increasing levels of risk .
(1/3 )             0.33
(1/3)^2       0.11
(1/3)^3       0.04
(1/3)^4       0.01
(1/3)^5       0.004

4.Risk levels .
From below , RSA tariff rate ~0.08  (8%)
(1/3)^x=0.08
x ~2.3

Risk level per country .
RSA     2.3
China  2.9
USA    3.8
UK      4.2

5. Below are countries that subsidize imports (ie negative taxes) :
The reserves are hidden in trade in-transit . A dicey business .
Like the large fraction of the Universe’s energy in transit with slingshots .

Anomaly :
Norway :
Very little agricultural land (2.7% of surface)  http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/AG.LND.AGRI.ZS/countries
What do they live on ?
Ho-ho-ho ! Norway has , in true Viking tradition , given the EU the finger and done their own Quiet Revolution quite a while ago .

Canada , Mauritius  4.4
Israel  4.5
Norway  5.3
Hong Kong , Macao , Singapore , Switzerland  ~10    (0% tariffs)

South Africa - Tariff rate
Tariff rate, applied, simple mean, manufactured products (%)
Tariff rate, applied, simple mean, manufactured products (%) in South Africa was 7.46 as of 2011. Its highest value over the past 23 years was 16.94 in 1993, while its lowest value was 6.71 in 1999.

5. Optimal tariffs for nation states .
This seems to be at risk level 3.333
This gives Average Tariff of 2.5 % unless the financial authorities know what they are doing . (Not the general case)
6. Note , that it is not free-trade .
Boundaries , hence tariffs are necessary .
Note that the countries with very low tariffs have other reserves . (Except Norway , where there a strong suspicion of some creative accounting)
Free trade will , and has , destroyed countries without adequate alternative reserves . Eg Argentina 1914(beef) , coffee , cocao , oil now .

7.Minimum tariff is 2.5 %
Notice the similarity to 2% inflation ?
This means a price of about $40 for the cheapest producers of oil .
If clathrates come online , it will go to negative numbers . They will have to pay to clean up the messes of shale and oil .

What a gas !

Caviar a la Revolucion

Andre Willers
18 Dec 2014
Synopsis :
A recipe to make cheap caviar for the masses . Save the Sturgeon !

Discussion :
1.The basis is molecular gastronomy .
See Appendix A
Caviar is essentially a strong fish flavour , with salt in a capsule . The “caviar” uniqueness is identical to white chocolate .

2. The Recipe :
Ingredients :

2.1 The Capsules are pasta rice . (100g)
2.2 Grated white chocolate (10 g)
2.3 Fish oil (20 g)
2.4 Neutral alcohol (vodka or cane 43% alcohol , 57% water ) :
Pasta absorbs 75% of it’s weight in water , hot or cold .
We need enough vodka to supply half of it .
Vodka = 100x0.75x0.5 / 0.57
          = 66 g
About 3 tots of 25ml each .

 2.5 Salt
4% to 6%
About a tsp per 100g pasta rice .
Tastes vary.

2.6 Optional :
Colour : Turmeric (2 g) , ginger , pepper . The last two are adjuvants .
Taste : Chili , amarula , etc

2.7 Method :
2.7.1 Mix everything except the white chocolate together and stand in the fridge for about 12 hours .
What happens : The oily fragrances dissolve into the alcohol . This then gets absorbed into the pasta.
Cold pasta absorbs cold water just as well as hot water . Its just slower .
But we do not want to lose the volatiles .

2.7.2 After 12 hours , drain and dust with the grated white chocolate and microwave until pasta rice is cooked .
About 30-60 seconds per 100 g . But taste it and adjust cooking time accordingly .
If turmeric had been added , you will have a bright red caviar . Hence the name .
If Saffron : yellow caviar . Etc .
Adding a gel from agar or the pulp of the granadilla will give a more exciting experience .

3. Serve on melba toast .

4. Carrot-a-la-Revolucion
Something similar , but not as fishy .
Carrot ball work well Red Caviar .
Red on Red .

4.1 Recipe
Mix whole , chopped or carved carrots with Cinnamon , ginger, nutmeg , turmeric , pepper , cloves in oil .
Add chili or sugar to taste.
Microwave till cooked .
Add dash of orange juice to taste .

4.2 And the Hero

5 Santa loves Red Caviar .
Which is why he wears red  and doesn’t have to work out .
When did you last see a superhero in the gym ?

Compliments of the season to all .

Andre
